I know. You know. The Xbox Live team knows. We’ve all been experiencing issues lately with connecting and other Xbox Live services. I’m posting just to say I feel your pain. For those of you unaware, news has come down via Major Nelson that things are being worked on with a resolution forthcoming. (sooner rather than later hopefully)
In the meantime, you can keep up with the status of Xbox Live on Xbox.com’s support page. Hang in there guys and girls. And no, don’t break out your calculators wondering how many pennies you’ll be reimbursed. However, I wouldn’t put it past Microsoft to do something for its users considering how long the issues have gone on. It’s really uncommon for Xbox Live to experience these kinds of issues for such an extended amount of time.

That’s the sad part, it happened at a time when new users are coming on board. Doesn’t look good to someone brand new. For me the issues have not been too bad. Minor matchmaking problems with CoD4 only.

I hope this opens their eyes to how poorly their DRM is implimented. I couldn’t watch movies (since I guess I need to download the DivX codec from LIVE in order to stream a video???? - and recheck live every minute or so???) - nor could I play two-thirds of my XBLA games, ALL DAY on Sunday. I just tried to sign on an hour ago or so and it was better, but I didn’t try to play a game and check for lag.
I don’t know if it’s just more users than anticipated after Christmas day, or if they’re really having some bigger issues, but I’m not happy. I don’t intend to renew gold any time soon, since multiplayer isn’t even that big of a deal for me… so… yeah… that’ll show’em. lol

the DRM issue is really, really upsetting. half of my content and plenty of others as well is lost when things like this happen because it’s dependent on being signed in. god forbid one day i ever decide not to have DSL etc. then practically everything i paid for, i won’t be able to utilize.

This is so lame, I haven’t been able to sign in for the last 4 days now, I wish Major would give us some updates as when I could sign in again!!
