LIVE is 5IVE Points and Gamerpic
Remember during the 5-year anniversary celebration of Xbox Live, those of us who had been with Xbox Live since the beginning were due 500 Microsoft Points? Remember signing up on the website for the points and being told December 21st would be the day those points would arrive? Remember that? Well, that was all true!
I just received my 500 Microsoft Points as well as an exclusive gamer pic for being an active member of Xbox Live for 5 years! This is a pretty good early Christmas present. If you were a member of Xbox Live since 2002, then check your email for the goodies.

Got my MS Points and gamerpic too. Now…MS needs to find a way for members to display 3 or more gamerpics to others, because 2 ain’t cuttin’ it anymore. lol

Yea same email and contact info. Though I did cancel my first gamertag after like 6 months and made my current one so maybe that interfered somehow. No worries though, I did receive that kick ass beta kit that came with a bunch goodies straight from the MS team signed and all. So I cant be too disappointed lol.

Lame, didnt get mine. I have been on Live Live launched in 02 with the motogp demo and Ghost Recon, etc.
I wasn’t selected for the Live beta but I was on day one. Damn I too bad b/c there’s a lot of stuff I want to buy on marketplace now.

it had to have been the same active account since 2002. so if you cancelled after 2002 and started over sometime after 2002, then it’s a no go.

I’ve been a “LIVE” / “.net” user for like 9 years (hotmail!), but I didn’t get an Xbox until last year! lol

Lame. I have the same account, just a different gamertag. I changed it via the $10 change-your-gamertag fee.
I hope that isn’t what makes me not get the points, but if it isn’t I have no idea as to what it could be!

Apparently, if you changed your GT name using the 800 MS points, you are not considered a founding member.
How lame is that? This is what Major Nelson told me from their marketing department.
I too have been a beta tester since Aug 2002 and only changed my GT back in 2006 because I was getting tired of the name.. I outgrew it… and oops.. I’m considered not a founder. Such bullshit.
