Guitar Hero III Track Pack with Linkin Park
Just when I release my report card on Activision about their DLC shortcomings, word of new downloadable content for Guitar Hero III comes knocking at my email door.
Master recordings from Warner/Reprise artists Linkin Park, Mastadon and The Used will be available as a downloadable track pack for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, during the month of December. Additionally, Activision will offer single song downloads from such popular European bands as Extremoduro, Trust and Die Fantastischen Vier, as well as a free, exclusive rock rendition of the holiday classic “We Three Kings,” recorded by Steve Ouimette.
The Warner/Reprise Track Pack includes master recordings of “No More Sorrow,” by Linkin Park, “Sleeping Giant,” by Mastadon and “Pretty Handsome Awkward,” by The Used. The single song downloads offer such popular singles as “So Payaso,” from Extremoduro, “Antisocial” from Trust, and “Ernten Was Wir Säen” from Die Fantastischen Vier.
There’s no word on the pricing of this content but when it’s shared, I’ll do likewise with everyone. There’s also no hint at what specific date fans can expect this content. I guess since it’s December we’ll just look for it this month.

Out of all the Linkin Park songs, they pick No More Sorrow? ****. It’s a good song, with a good message, but that wouldn’t even be in the top 10 of LP songs I would want.

Glad to see the continue stream of songs for GHIII and Rock Band. I like the mix of different groups and music styles.
I’m definately an old school headbanger, so the choice of Mastadon is good, while the Linkin Park comes out when guests are over to play.
I’m kinda hoping they release some Machinehead and others.

This song would be good to play with the guitar but I wish they picked a different song. I love Linkin park I’m glad to see them in GH period

Machinehead FTW Rain….anyhoo…I was really hoping one of these games would offer up some Holiday tunes…I’m gonna own We 3 kings…lol..

“Pretty Handsome Awkward” is an interesting song, but not like most of The Used’s other stuff. But the guitar riff will make for fun gaming. Linkin Park was my first major love affair with music, so I’m half tempted to buy GHIII for one song alone! lol…. I was shocked Rise Against made it before Linkin Park. I really think “No More Sorrow” would be a better track for Rock Band (I want to drum that like woah).
Fear Factory would be awesome, but will never, ever, ever happen. lol… Type O Negative in there, somewhere, too?

i hope its the old linkin park. because the new one sucks ass.
anyways Mastodon is nice, but i dont need the used. so i’m not sure if im going to get this pack.

I need to focus on getting the games first. Not sure if I’ll spend money at first on DLC.

I’ll have to see how they are (probably on youtube) before I decide about buying them, but I’ll probably cave and get them.
