Welcome to a new day here at U360!  I’m Dr. Deacon Troy.  After a few days under the knife, the place has a new look.  It didn’t take long for many of you to figure out the little hint I left yesterday and I hope you like the new digs.  ZaaM and I have been working on it behind the scenes for the past few days.  I love how it’s patterned after the default message board style giving it a nice feng shui or for those not in the know, fung shway. 

Seriously, big thanks to ZaaM for the help in getting this done!  There are a few new things that I’ll go over to help you get familiar with the update.  It’s nothing you won’t be able to see for yourself but I’m still going to go over the new features.  There are other small changes to be done but for now, enjoy what has been done so far.

New Features

Style - The first thing you notice are the new colors and new design. I incorporated words in the header/footer that describe a little about what the site is about. There are other new style changes so feel free to browse around.

Top navigation - Not amazing but there are a few things in a top navigation now for quick access to finding out about U360.

Bottom navigation - There are now lists of the last posts, comments and shows for quick access when you’ve scrolled to the bottom of U360’s articles. You can see what the last few interactions were to get you into the hot discussions easily.

Archives - I’ve added an Archive Index to search through previous months/years of U360 so the sidebar Archive section isn’t too long.

Comments - When there’s a hot topic on U360, the comments will now be paged so you don’t have to scroll for hours reading them all. You can select page 1, 2 etc. in order to quickly get to the comments in the article that you haven’t read. Or you can select ’show all’ if you like seeing them all at once.

Chat Box - There’s an easy to use chat now for those of you interested in immediate returns to topics that have nothing to do with anything or whatever floats your boat. I thought it would be a nice addition when you guys are just hanging around.
