This move is a big step ahead, they are trying to compete traditional tv cable providers and this is easy because the Xbox has about 36 million units sold. And by enabling this service 36 million people will have instant access to tv content by paying that small fee. You can have a look at this article to read more about this: http://www.thehdstandard.com/hardwaresoftware-solutions-for-streaming/espn-streaming-on-xbox/

"Why pay for these games when you can watch them live or record them with your DVR? I don’t understand this move. I love ESPN, but I believe that this bandwith could be used a lot better…"

Even with a hacked dish and the $140.00 NCAA BB package from my cable provider I still only get to see about 60% of my schools NCAA BB games. Your statement couldn't be more wrong.

The fact that they can not bring these games live to us stinks, ESPN simply doesnt own the rights to all NCAA sports games so I bet they dont deliver more than 50% of my teams games.

If this was live and a promise to deliver every game I would of signed up yesterday.

Maybe I'll download the upcoming Egg Bowl of MSU vs Ole Miss. Our "hometown rivalry". If bowls are available, that is.
