In Other News: Why I Want Gears of War PC!
Hello. My name is Deacon and welcome to ‘Why I Want Gears of War PC’ or at least why I want a computer that can run Gears of Wars PC. I know that it’s supposed to work with Windows XP (which I have) but that won’t give me the uber experience needed for this game. On top of the visual upgrade and the chance to battle different monsters, Gears of Wars for Games for Windows has a ridiculous level editor called Unreal Editor that gave me a goose bump or two.
I know you don’t believe me so that’s why I attached this video below. It was narrated by Epic Lead Designer Jim Brown. (no not the football player) Take a look at it and you’ll understand why I want to get my little hands on this design tool. Can someone say include this in Gears of War 2 Cliffy?

no prob snorkle. it’s basically covering all the tools of the editor and how easy it is to add terrain, develop and implement a kick ass map that has all the bells & whistles of an authentic Gears map.
i mean it’s pretty cool the way it all looks so easy to do and how good it looks in the end.

it has AI info on setting them up, cover points, scripting info etc…it was awesome.

im really digging that they are supposed to have new campaign levels, and want it as well. I think my comptuer MIGHT survive it, not sure.

Far Cry for xbox 360 has a map creator……it’s not as fun as you think though.

i really need to upgrade my PC. in fact. that’s my mission. i will upgrade.now i need to get a copy of Gears of War PC to motivate me as i stare at it daily lol

Might pick this one up for my wife; I prefer the console, she prefers playing on her PC. Too bad there’s no cross-platform compatability, that would have been awesome!
