Who’s ready to be a legend in the rock game? Xbox 360 owners get ready to shred as Activision and Neversoft give fans a rockin’ opportunity to practice their skills with a demo available for download on tomorrow, October 23 exclusively through the Xbox Live Marketplace. No need to burn an illegal disc, just hop onto the Marketplace and get your download on!

The free game demo, playable with either the X-Plorer guitar or Xbox 360 controller, will include the following 5 finger-melting songs:
- Even Flow (by Pearl Jam)
- Lay Down (by Priestess)
- The Metal (by Tenacious D)
- Hit Me with your Best Shot (as made famous by Pat Benatar)
- Rock You like a Hurricane (as made famous by Scorpions)
I’ve played them all and my neighbors are inches away from calling the police I’m sure. This game is going to melt your minds!
Stay tuned for details on a Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock battle against the developers of the game. There’s a Play & Win opportunity that you don’t want to miss!

Its worth a try though. I’ve never played without the guitar before. Just wondering what it feels like to play with the controller.

Pre-ordered the GHIII bundle from RedOctane (http://redoctane.com/guitarhero3xbox360bundle.html), thanks (again) to Mosh.
@DB, Not unless you own a [legit] copy of the game in the first place. But then (again)…why would someone want to burn a copy of it?
/lol

Nice. I guess the demo will keep me occupied for a month
then waiting for the game.
Its crap that we in Europe will have to wait until nov 23rd
for the game.
October 23rd, 2007 at 5:33 am
europe always has to wait

Deacon what you state is not the same b/c if you burn the demo you can play it without a modded 360. I know since my 360 has no mod in it. Halo 3 is different I would not do that b/c I void my warranty and well it is ilegal.
However my OXM disc was missing from my magazine. Thanks to some online friends, they helped me get the GH3 demo on CD for which I already had paid for (through my OXM subscrition).
October 23rd, 2007 at 1:26 pm
so you’re saying it’s ok to burn it for people who don’t pay for an OXM subscription then?
October 23rd, 2007 at 6:17 pm
Can’t wait for the full game to come out.
I already suck though -_-
