The Simpsons Game & Conan Demos Available

There are demos up for the above titles that you might want to grab.  I’ve been able to play both of these games in the last month or so and I can’t wait to get some more time with them.

The Simpsons Game is definitely on the must-have list after the EA Studio Showcase visit last month.  It was afterall, part of my “Best Of” feature.  I’m also ready to get some more time with Conan.  After playing it a bit at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo, I was ready for its release.

I played through the demo this morning, it was alot of fun, if your a fan you will be all over this one. Game play is good as well. I still wish they had done a sequal to the last GTA style simpsons game that came out, that one was fantastic as well IMO. THe dialog is great in this one, lots of funny parts. Still havnt decided if i will be getting this one on my Wii or the 360 since graphically the 360 shouldnt have that much of an upper hand on this style of game but we will see.

I enjoyed the Simpsons demo once I realized that the camera had not been automatically set to inverted y-axis. The video bits and voice overs are excellent and game play is just enjoyable enough to keep me moving through the game to get to the next hilarious sound bite ;)

I’m sold on The Simpson, the gameplay video after the demo looks like there’s a lot of life in the game. The artwork/graphics looks far better than when I expected.

I’m sold on The Simpsons and Conan. I just wish the Conan demo was longer than one level. Too bad they could not get Arnold to do the voice work for Conan from Conan the Barbarian.

I had no plans to purchase Conan and the demo only solidifies that resolve. They should have paid more attention to the game they so blatantly ripped off. I’m not going to even rent it. I have enough games to play.

One thing I’ve always loved about the simpsons is that it is a show that is not afraid to push the envelope in an intellectual way.
