It seems like only yesterday that I was here making an October announcement that I was awarded the 2007 Microsoft MVP Award in its Xbox category. Last night, the powers that be decided to let me continue being an Xbox MVP for another year.
“The MVP Award is our way of saying thank you for promoting the spirit of community and enhancing people’s lives and the industry’s success every day. Your extraordinary efforts in Xbox technical communities during the past year are greatly appreciated.”

Thanks to all of you, I was awarded the 2008 Microsoft MVP Award! I want to send additional thanks to the people at Microsoft who took part in awarding me for another year. I’m really honored to continue to be a part of this program. Representing the community and all of you is something I take to heart. It’s nothing you ever hear me brag about or flaunt because it’s something I’m very proud of. It’s also something I know isn’t possible without being part of an awesome community.
So here we go again folks. I hope you’ll all enjoy the coming year here at U360 with me! It should be another wild ride.
are there relly only 43 “xbox” MVP’s? … that list must not update too often either b/c wasnt Nelson from achievement junkie just named an mvp as well?….
anywho, congrats Deacon, keep up the great work and representing all of us so well….thnx again for everything you do…
Nelson was just put on the MS staff, but I am not sure about the MVP. But one kind of goes along with the other….right?

Wow Deacon, congrats on getting it again! …but I never knew MVPs lose their title; I thought once a MVP always a MVP.
Well, I’m glad to see you get the title again for you truly deserve it.
