In a surprising move today, the folks over at Bizarre Creations outlined their future plans of going multiplatform with an announcement that they’re joining the Activision team! Noting all kinds of troubles with being an independent studio, Bizarre Creations puts an end to the Project Gotham Racing series with a loud bang. Call of Gotham anyone?
Yes, the team behind Project Gotham Racing is moving on to do other projects as part of this announcement. Support for the title though will continue after its launch in October. Bizarre Creations plans to develop two new properties with Activision; one being a racing game and the other a character game.
“Well, we’re no longer tied to just one platform for starters. Our future titles can be on whatever we please - we are a truly multiplatform studio now. Of course that doesn’t mean that we’ll be forced to make a port of every game to every console in existence… we simply have that option available to us.” - Bizarre Creations
