I know I am the only person in my group of friends who has gold, and when applicable my friends own the PS3 version of something to play for free, so it generally goes to waste since I have noone to play with, so ultimately I doubt I'll be renewing when the time comes. This can turn into a real deal breaker for MS and the 360. PS3 has free internet (and it is a very nice service btw), as does Nintendo (yes it sucks, but Nintendo is also the noob on the block with net gaming), and the PC (unrivaled in the quality, and amount of 100% free net gaming). MS needs to really let the pay to play feature on Live go away. Revenue can be generated in other ways; and for god's sake people, stop claiming the quality of live will suffer, its a freakin peer to peer connection! In this day and age of dedicated servers, Live is actually in the stoneage...
