All they get is a warm up an first crack at the game. So pretty much they have them and as soon as the date comes around, POP! they'll show up, sounds like playing offline if you ask me. If you really want to, you can see the acheivements from your console and online wasn't working earlier this week, so it's more of a feature not fully functioning. Besides this also doesn't count for the bungies website now viewing like 2000+ members now playing Halo 3 and that a members achievements are available to see in their profile.
