- Pilex : There were several reasons for the crash, but the main cause was supersaturation of the market with dozens of consoles and hundreds of mostly low-quality games. Hundreds of games were in development for 1983 release alone, and this overproduction resulted in a saturated market.

- Pilex : yeah the first wasw a lack of tech or the ability to produce it cheaply, the second crash was because of saturation
- Mikewarrior : Yep Pilex, but the reasons were different...I was talking of 83 because the poor decisions by developers... Like they are now doing again.
- Pilex : so 5 gens running...they have leveled the gaming industry and it has been pretty consistent..
