Call of Duty 4 Beta Issues Workaround
I’m sure you’re all aware or most of you at least that the CharlieOscarDelta site is temporarily unavailable. I have news of a workaround for those of you interested in obtaining a beta code invite.
The Infinity Ward team has posted details on how to be amongst the first wave of lucky folks to enter the COD4 Multiplayer Beta. Better hurry because this is apparently a select group.

Pretty much the info they had on their site, its like skills that you can select for battle. I look at it along the lines of selecting Tech or Magic in Shadowrun. So you can mix an match stuff an create a custom class even.

Your character has 3 slots, and the perks are divided into different slot categories. Perks from category 1 can only go into slot 1 and so on. The perks just let you adapt you character for how you fight. If you know you’re going to be using a belt fed weapon you’ll want things like “slight of hand” for faster reloads and “deep impact” to shoot through walls better.
Now can someone help a guy out with the question answers? I think the level cap is 20, to use abilities it’s A, and to use grenade launchers is X . . . or am I completely retarded??

the level cap for the beta is SGT Level 11.

Yeah, I total screwed myself on the level thing… I wasn’t sure what he was asking and guessed. I thought he wanted to know how many people could get in during the beta testing. It’s the one question I got wrong. I only sent it in once. I didn’t want to be dinged for mulitple entries. My hope is they’d count it more as a wound and not a head shot!

What are the answers to the other two questions? I’ve already submitted but I wanted to know if I was right and to give my friends a heads up.

Think the Airstrike Rewards thing is the D-Pad, fairly sure on that. The other one was tough and I didn’t find much, I think its the X button, for use and reload.

I tried the email workaround…don’t think it worked…the site is back up but it still says “coming soon” when you click enter now on the beta page…anyone know whats going on?

Thanks for the info. I got into the Beta. Should be fun. I downloaded it last night so I’m hoping to get off work early and play tonight.
