EA Shuts You Down
Have you ever had a moment when you had no witty comeback and the only thing you can muster is a quick, defiant ”what the hell!”? This is one of those moments. EA released information yesterday about a planned online wipe out for some of their “older” titles. I suppose this really isn’t a surprise now as it’s not the first time. So maybe it’s no big deal to the legions of EA fans.
Here is a list of titles that will have their online ability shut down. Some of these are Xbox 360 titles so you better make it a point to unlock any online Achievements soon. Good thing I’m not playing these particular titles anymore. But which of you still play titles from this list?

You know what? If EA is so concerned with the cost of servers, then maybe they should USE XBOX LIVE SERVERS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES.

Let’s not even get into this debate again. EA will not ever use MS servers this is the main reason the EA/MS feal almost never happened for Live and I don’t want to see anything shaking that up. EA has made it clear they use their own servers. With all the new things they have in store they could not change it now even if they wanted to. I think way too much is being read into this if there is a game on the list that gamers want live access to then write in or gather names if enough interest is shown they won’t take it off.

I wish EA would just use Xbox Live servers… I really, really hate EA. I’ll never again buy their games, not even used.

This seems to be an inherent problem with EA not running everything through the Xbox Live servers. If I wanted to, I could throw in Whacked! and maybe find someone (okay, a big maybe) to play. Would I? No, but the option is there, which is very cool.

I actually have a friend on my list who plays nothing but Madden06, but I think hes just playing offline.Was Madden 07 really that bad to the point where ppl prefer playing the older ones lol?
