Call of Duty 4 Beta US Only
Remember the exciting news coming out of E3 2007 from Infinity Ward that there would be a Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Beta? Fans across the world screamed for joy with hopes of soon playing one of the holiday’s most anticipated titles a bit early. Well, most of you can still scream for joy if ofcourse most of you are US Xbox 360 owners.
It appears that the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare beta is going to exclude our friends from down under as well as anyone else not in the US. Activision Australia has apparently leaked the news that it will be US only. Add that to the fact that only a select number of beta invites will be given out and a bit of the “excitement” surrounding the beta has disappeared.
I knew one day that being from Texas would be a good thing. What say you mates?

i’m sure after the backlash, they decided to change. see it pays to make a stink sometimes. but it was initially US only. not the “looking to go international”. it’s still not set in stone lol.

Yeah I was just reading some sites that link to http://www.charlieoscardelta.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=14137 for the news saying it is not US only. Unfortuenly I can’t get to COD website (CharlieOscarDelta get it?) as they blocked it at work so I can’t verify what it says.

all it says snorkle is statements about US only were premature and they’re “looking” to go International with the beta. just some backtracking after the folks down under and abroad caused massive panic attacks.
so i hope the beta isn’t less of an experience now that they’re trying to change their initial plans for US only so they don’t lose a few sales.

I prefer my calm and logical comment, I think those are the ones that scare them the most.
