Still not feeling the $20 price cut on the Xbox 360 HD DVD player? Still not sure even after the ultimate man movie, 300, hit stores the other day? Perhaps this deal is enough to get you on the high definition movie train.

Best Buy is offering the Xbox 360 HD DVD player for $149.99! Yes, that’s a $50 price drop from the original price. (which I was hoping Microsoft would make for all) The best thing about this is that you can still cash in on the 5 free HD DVD movies!
If I had another high definition television, I’d be all over this offer. You can thank me by purchasing and sending me a copy of the HD DVD version of 300. This is a hot deal!

Honestly this just shows me how horrible this device is selling. I’m sure this will sell allot of units but it seems to me that bluray is the winner in the new gen.
Yes I own a blu ray player…….I have blockbuster online so it kind of works out for me. Sorry guys.

anyone can see the studio support and kind of realize how this may end up. quantity wins out and blu ray has a load of studio support compared to hd dvd.
no matter. they’re both no different beyond the choice of titles and blu ray has more. until hd dvd does something about titles and studio support, it’s a foregone conclusion i think.

Hard to buy as tempting as this is… I really want to find out which format will be the standard. I don’t need this to be another Divix player or Beta machine.

I might buy another just to get the 5 free HD-DVDs and then sell the HD-DVD drive on eBay or return it to Wal-Mart for credit. There’s an HD-DVD in each category that I want, and it’d cost pretty much the same as buying five HD-DVDs until I ended up getting my money back…

I’m waiting ’til the HD-DVD add-on is around $50.
I’ll buy it for the few HD-DVDs I want.
