Marketplace Points Issues
For those of you who don’t know, Circuit City is running an incredible deal that amounts to 3200 Microsoft Points (or more) for $19.99. You can save $20 with the purchase of any Xbox 360 accessory including Microsoft Points. Many are choosing to just grab up plenty of points instead of wireless headsets and other accessories.
Great deal but it may have sent the Xbox Live Marketplace into overload hell. Currently users are reporting that their point balance has been wiped out and shows no balance.
80004005. Cannot retrieve information from Xbox Live.
There are some who can’t even access the Marketplace and some who can’t use the My Xbox feature to Add Microsoft Points on Xbox.com. I’m sure it’s a small hiccup that will soon clear its way up. But I wanted to ease your fears as the situation isn’t just yours alone. There are plenty of people experiencing the same problem.

[Edit] – It looks like my point balance is back as well as others. The Marketplace blues have gone away.

I’m going to try and get more throughout the week. Circuit City may not be an option anymore though, they took down their site and everything in just the past few minutes…they might stop honoring the deal. Price-matching may be the only option now.

My Circuit City is too far so I just went to Best Buy and they price matched it. I was only able to get 2 though, as they were mumbling something about a limit, but I plan to go back in throughout the week and buy 4 more… or more!

erm im in a predicament as well
i want to download the addons for my oblivion game
but i also want to play harry potter and the order of the phoenix and crackdown
which one more games or more gaming expierience in oblivion
i only have £50 to spend and i can get the games for that amount and the mp points cost around £50 for about 2 or 3 over here in the uk
is this offtopic or not lol
