Peter Moore Resigns From Microsoft
My friends at the Gamerscoreblog just released a press release that Peter Moore has resigned his position at Microsoft. He’ll head over to become President of EA’s sports division. I guess he wants to redeem his E3 Rock Band performance in a major way.
I just wanted to say to Peter that I wish you well. I didn’t get the pleasure to meet you but you were one of the very few executives that I’ve come across who seemed to have a genuine love for what they were doing. It’s not always about numbers. You understood that it was just as much about the fun as it was the business. I’ll forever remember your presentation tattoos, your Pac-Man promo video as well as your Rock Band performance during E3 2007.
I can only hope that the people in places that matter at Microsoft realize that it’s not always about years of experience in this industry. I guess now we move on to a new face for the Xbox 360. Good luck Peter and welcome to the new breed.

This is not just a coincedence. Someone’s head had to roll for the 1 Billion dollar mistake. Sad part is it’s probably not Peters Fault. He is basically a PR guy. I doubt he was making the decsions about how the machine was built, etc….
The thing is MS had to have someone take a fall. Chances are MS worked with EA to make sure Peter Landed squarely on his feet in a well paid position. Now MS show the world/stock holders that someone new is in charge… etc.. etc…

How is the 360 overheating Mr. Moore’s fault? He will be sorely missed just like when Mr. Ed Fries left MS and we got stuck with Shane Kim

they should hire me. I would tattoo every game on my body if needed.

Guess his next tat will ge a huge EA on him somewhere.
Sad to see him leave, but sounds like he’ll be still involved in the biz.

Anyone else feel a huge blow to the Xbox brand? Well I do, especially with the ***whipe they got in charge now.
A dude from EA, how sickening.
Let’s hope for the best though.
