Monday Morning Scripted - X-Files Reborn
Yes, it’s Monday and I actually feel pretty good. For those of you who don’t know, Monday Morning Scripted is my recap of the weekend along with a look towards the coming week. They’re my own little diaries of sorts to share some “out of the blue” type of things with everyone as the week begins.
I had a very nice weekend coupled with two very good live shows. If you missed them, you can check out Episode #43 with Cryptic Studios’ Jack Emmert as well as a few highlights of Sunday’s show wrapping up the discussion on E3: The Aftermath. Finding out that Marvel Universe Online was at a playable stage left me extremely jealous and anxious at the same time. Thanks to everyone who called in and thanks to all the guests. And congrats to Falcon009 for scoring a copy of Vampire Rain during the show.
I was on the elevator this morning and a small news clip came up saying that X-Files is indeed headed back to the movie screen! Fox Mulder and Scully return in 2008! Even though it’s been years since the television series ended and even longer since the first movie, I’m still a big fan. The movie is supposedly a separate story from the series which I don’t mind. I just want some more X-Files!
I wanted to thank a few of the U360 community members who decided to request some Unscripted 360 content on the Xbox Live Marketplace. That’s pretty cool of everyone to pitch for something like that. I’ll try to do what I can behind the scenes to see how feasible it is. It’s actually something I’ve inquired about before so we’ll see where it goes. Things like that usually cost money though especially when it’ll be a free download. You have to pay to get your stuff to be free believe it or not.
I have a few things on tap this week that should be a lot of fun so stay tuned as always.

The news that X-Files is coming back is so huge! You just made my day Deacon! Since that show left the TV I have been so lost. I just can’t seem to find something I can get invested in.

This is quite a coincidence, because my mom and her boyfriend just asked me to find the original movie because they are X-Files fans but have never seen the movie.

The X-Files is without a doubt my favorite show. This movie has been in development hell for a while now - nice to hear some confirmation and a solid release.

Seriously. X-Files was the hotness. I can’t wait to see what else is going down with that!

Yeah, Mulder and Scully go on assignment to find Cancer Man’s lost pack of Marley’s and Skinner’s missing hair! Honestly though it will be great to see them back on the big screen. I wouldn’t even mind seeing Robert Patrick make a brief appearance as Agent Doggett and Annabeth Gish as Agent Reyes.
