Dashboard Update?
I just logged on to Xbox Live and was prompted for an update. After the update my console had been updated to version 2.0.5766.0 so I’m wondering what it was for. I don’t recall the BC software updates coming with prompts do they? And I’m sure that I logged on to Xbox Live after the BC update was announced.
Feel free to tell me I’ve lost my mind. (edited to include dashboard setting to prove my sanity lol)
[Update 7/16] I know what the update was for now. I guess you guys will have to wait to see when or if it rolls out to you.
[Update 8/6] The update included support for the new wireless guitars being released later this year for Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band.

well i beta’d the spring dash update but i’m currently not doing any beta testing.

Hey, so did mine! Right after I beat Halo (again) i restarted the console and it prompted this update. Then I searched google for it and came to this site. Looks like someone else got it too. Now will you tell us what its actually for?

Yeah I’ve got it too, I don’t know what the heck it’s for, but I did perceive a faster logon to media center extender afterwards.
Don’t know if that’s anything to do with anything though.

it was for some compatibility with some accessories i believe.

Any idea what accessories, I have the wheel, the camera, two controllers, about the only accessory I don’t have is the guitar (not that I want it).
