The Xbox 360 is about to have an exciting love affair with the RPG genre. I say that it’s about time especially when it’s a love affair with an RPG that looks as beautiful as Namco Bandai’s 360 exclusive, Eternal Sonata. Most of you should know that a comment like that from me is worth its weight in gold because I don’t usually smile at the genre. The new screenshots are taken from the game’s fourth and fifth chapters and offer gamers a glimpse of Eternal Sonata’s lush and vibrant visuals, eclectic characters, and action-packed combat system. (yes that was from the press release)

Featuring an intuitive and strategic combat system that keeps the action flowing and takes into account elements such as light and darkness, an intriguing story told through real-time cutscenes, an unforgettable cast of characters and incredibly
detailed environments to explore, Eternal Sonata is set to deliver one of the most engrossing RPG experiences of the year for the Xbox 360.
Eternal Sonata releases exclusively this Fall for the Xbox 360. You can view the latest Eternal Sonata trailer here on Unscripted 360. What say you RPG fans?
Although I’m still concerned about the obvious Multiplayphobia that is finding its way towards Halo 3, I will admit this news is good news. Bungie released details today about Halo 3’s online play. It’s been confirmed that up to 4 players will be able to experience the Campaign mode on Xbox Live or System Link!

Bungie took the heat of many screaming fans when they didn’t commit to announcing two player cooperative play in Halo 3 and we now understand the reason why. Bungie was planning for something bigger and better with 4-player cooperative play! Bungie also unveiled two brand new Elite characters that will be controlled by players 3 and 4 in co-op play. (player one ofcourse is Master Chief and player two is the Arbiter)
Remember that one time at band camp when no 2008 titles were being shown for the Xbox 360 during E3 2007? Get a taste of Techland’s upcoming first person shooter, Warhound, headed our way next year for the Xbox 360, Vista and Windows XP.
For those unaware, Techland developed Call of Juarez. There is a lot of info on this title from the press release so get your fill below.

Screenshots: Warhound
Warhound is an open-ended First-Person Shooter (FPS) set in modern times. In the game, you will play as an ex-Delta Force operative, now working for the world’s largest military contractor. In Warhound, you’ll complete a variety of challenging missions in battlefields around the world, while later uncovering a massive terrorist plot that targets the United States and thousands of its citizens.
In the end there could be only one. In an event that was an absolutely frenzy, sixteen (16) brave souls from across the internet’s most daring communities met for battle. We were all transported to a desolate space station with one simple rule…destroy everyone else. Four rounds. Survive or else.

Who would find delight in seeing such a massive war? Who could lure 16 souls into a battle of destruction? His name used to be a mere whisper across the galaxies. Amongst the Kilrathi he was known as Lurg. I soon learned his human name though. Andrew Green. He represents a global organization more powerful than the Kilrathi Empire. I received a transmission only moments before the war identifying that organization as EA. Soon after, I was in the game. The war had begun.
Round after round, tons of metal from destroyed fighters was left floating in space. The skies were lit with eon particle trails of those who had fallen. Round after round…fighter after fighter…the war would be decided this night. I battled valiantly as both a Medium Fighter and a Bomber. There were many who fell victim to my plasma cannons, turrents and missiles. The many were not enough though as I was vanquished to space’s garage in the first round. I come back to my space station now, however, as a proud Wing Commander Arena fighter.
I didn’t go quietly and I want to say to the madman that ended the dreams of 15 other fighters…THIS IS SPARTA UNSCRIPTED! You win this round Xbox 360 Fanboy but victory is only enjoyable until the next defeat.
I hope you all enjoyed my little story. Thanks to the communities involved, my friends at Gaia Industries, Andrew “Lurg” Green, and the rest of EA for pulling this off! I’m looking forward to more events like this.
I had a chance to kidnap Strange Flavour’s own Aaron Fothergill for an exclusive first look at the Xbox Live Arcade title, Spyglass Board Games. Spyglass is set to debut on Wednesday, August 1 for 400 Microsoft Points.
Aaron and Strange Flavour previously gave fans the first (and only) gesture based game for the Xbox 360, Totemball. They’re at it again alongside Freeverse to provide another first with the video chat feature!
Not much is known about this upcoming title but that’s about to change. I had to travel deep in the heart of the UK for this one so sit down, relax and read as I go one on one with Aaron about Spyglass Board Games. (and no I didn’t really kidnap him; he’s in the UK and I couldn’t cover luggage expenses)

On the heels of an exclusive first look at Spyglass Board Games, allow me to present another first with a look at the Achievements for the game. It looks to be an easy journey to 200 Gamerscore with this game.
Mouseover the icons to see the name of each Achievement. I did that for a dramatic and cool effect so bow down. Spyglass Board Games will be available for download on Wednesday, August 1, for 400 Microsoft Points.

Happy Monday! I’ve done as much practicing as I believe I can do in order to properly prepare myself for battle in tonight’s Wing Commander Arena Community Tournament. The controls of the game are interesting and I haven’t been able to come up with a good strategy. I hope to at least place in the top 5 so that I can share something with the community. It should be a lot of fun regardless and I’m looking forward to mixing things up with the other 15 communities.

If I don’t win, don’t worry because there’s still a chance for you to score some pretty awesome swag. EA is running a giveaway for every single Wing Commander game created on every system! I’m not making this up as the prize includes retro Wing Commander goodies complete with retro systems to play them on. Do you fancy a 3DO, Sega Genesis or SNES? Enter the Wing Commander EA Giveaway, sign up for the newsletter and you could possibly win. Some of this stuff is a nerd collector’s dream!
Wish me luck.
For those of you who don’t know, Circuit City is running an incredible deal that amounts to 3200 Microsoft Points (or more) for $19.99. You can save $20 with the purchase of any Xbox 360 accessory including Microsoft Points. Many are choosing to just grab up plenty of points instead of wireless headsets and other accessories.

Great deal but it may have sent the Xbox Live Marketplace into overload hell. Currently users are reporting that their point balance has been wiped out and shows no balance.
80004005. Cannot retrieve information from Xbox Live.
There are some who can’t even access the Marketplace and some who can’t use the My Xbox feature to Add Microsoft Points on Xbox.com. I’m sure it’s a small hiccup that will soon clear its way up. But I wanted to ease your fears as the situation isn’t just yours alone. There are plenty of people experiencing the same problem.
Stay tuned and I’ll edit this as things clear up.
[Edit] - It looks like my point balance is back as well as others. The Marketplace blues have gone away.
Unscripted 360 is dropping bombs on you! Bomberman Live redeem code bombing that is. I was able to grab an additional redeem code from the U360 bag of swag and I wanted to share it with the community. You have to promise not to bomb me if you happen to play against me with this title on Xbox Live. (that’s not really a rule)

How to win?
Tune in to U360 TV live tomorrow with Lady J and listen for a special sound clip. Trust me you’ll know what it is as “bombs away” will come to mind. Be the first caller after you hear the “bombs away” sound clip and you’ll win the redeem code for Bomberman Live!
I’ll make sure the lines are clear right before I play the sound clip so that those currently live and on air will have a chance to win as well. (yes that was a hint) Good luck and happy dialing!

This is some scary ****! Capcom released a few new screenshots for next year’s action, survival horror game, Resident Evil 5, and I have to say a few of them are frightening. I hope you’re all prepared to engage in the next chapter of this zombie thriller. From the look of the screenshots, we’re all in for one hell of a ride!
