In just one week, DiRT has managed to exceed the expectations of many by selling 500K (500,000) units globally for Codemasters. That’s a lot of dirty racing and it bodes well for the genre to debut with such strong sales. The playable demos for the Xbox 360 and the PC have been downloaded over 500K times worldwide.

“This success with DiRT is a text-book case of our product development, marketing and distribution efforts all working together to ignite consumer interest and drive sales,” said Rod Cousens, CEO, Codemasters. “Nearly half of our first week’s sales are from the U.S. alone, which means momentum behind this series is taking hold in new territories.”
Have you gotten a little dirty with DiRT? If so, how is the game? I know you’re loving the menu interface as Unscripted 360 was the first to praise its shine.

Top notch career mode and absolutely gorgeous graphics (and I’m not even a driving fan)…one of the best racers I’ve ever played…but it’s still a rental IMO, due to the solitary multiplayer…

hell yah man, you’ll love it, dont get me wrong….I’m not bashing the game, it’s fantastic…. but once career and championship is over, the replayability is nearly paper thin…
just my .02, and like I said… my opinion is most likely biased since I’m not huge into racing games…

I love this game. I’m not one to play games for hours at a time, but last Sunday I put it in and I could not stop playing. I’ve already beated the huge career mode pyramid. Usually I trade in my games when I’ve beaten them,
but this ones a keeper.

I got it from Gamefly on Monday and been playing it ever since. Great career mode ( it should take about 10-12 hours to beat). Graphics are superb too. Much better than Forza 2s, but its also running at around 30fps, and it shows when things get ..ummm. DIRTY. Multiplayer is pretty much non- existent, even though there is a few multiplayer modes ( makes no sense i know, you’ll find out soon.)
Great game though, and alot of fun…and yes! The menu interface is very well designed and pleasant to navigate through!
