Carcassonne Gets Medieval on Xbox Live Arcade
I don’t know a thing about this board game. I suppose it doesn’t matter as I knew nothing about Catan either. Now that you know I know nothing about Carcassonne, I’ll continue on with pointing out that you’ll be playing it soon.
Named after the medieval fortified town of Carcassonne in southern France, famed for its city walls, “Carcassonne” starts with an empty landscape and a single square tile. Using strategic tactics and a little luck, one to four players take turns selecting from 72 tiles displaying various features of a city including roads, the walls of a castle or fields. The medieval countryside thrives as players and their opponents place tiles and complete towns, roads, and farms while competing to accumulate the most points.

It’s better than Catan speedwise, imho. It’s a guaranteed purchase for me this Wednesday.

Looks great! After just loving the heck out of Catan this one is a must purchase for me. Looks very similar yet different enough to provide a unique game experience. Looking forward to it.

you didnt play it at the Gamerscore tour deacon? I played a quick game and didnt know completely what I was doing – but yeah its very Catan-like, but instead of resource cards you take turns and take Gamertiles to place on the board and create the realm that you control.
