Monday Morning Scripted - U360 TV

Here’s a fresh Monday Morning Scripted for you as I break down interesting things to get us all started on a new week.  I hope all the fathers out there had a good Father’s Day yesterday as well as a good weekend.  I was tied up ofcourse so I couldn’t get the next show up but it will be up tonight.  I have an interesting announcement involving my plans with U360 TV and its debut so be sure to tune in.

U360 TV

I managed to see the new Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and I really enjoyed it.  I wasn’t expecting much from it but surprisingly I ended up really enjoying it.  The Silver Surfer’s debut on the big screen was pretty good indeed.  And it never hurts to have Jessica Alba to look at.

I was on the train this morning reading a local newspaper and they had an article about Dallas area Blockbuster and its choice to rent only Blu-Ray movies when they move to high definition.  WTF!  That’s definitely not a good thing for HD-DVD owners like myself because I really can’t afford a Blu-Ray player and I’m not going to opt for the cheap alternative in a PlayStation 3 if HD-DVD goes the route many are expecting.

I’ve always believed that studio support is the key ingredient to this war and it appears that is proving true.  As an HD-DVD buyer, I get frustrated going into the stores with nothing to spend my money on.  The majority of the movies I want to watch in high definition are always in that stupid blue case and not in the maroon case.  So here I am hoping for a cheaper Blu-Ray player if this thing ends with Blu-Ray being the top dog.

Well that’s about it.  I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week.

If Blu-Ray wins out over HD-DVD, then I plan on picking up a PS3. The cost of the system is usually more than the price anyway. As much as I don’t want to support Blu-Ray, I don’t want to miss out playing high-definition media on my system. It’s really too bad if that happens as I feel we have a better solution with HD-DVD.
