BlackSite: Area 51 - New Screens & Box Art

Midway sent the box art and some new screens for the highly anticipated action FPS title, BlackSite: Area 51. The box art and screens feature Special Forces assassin Aeran Pierce, an Iraq war veteran, as he leads his Delta Force squad against a mysterious insurgency who have emerged from the concrete tombs of Area 51, thought to have been sealed off forever.

BlackSite: Area 51 gives gamers a chance to direct their living, breathing squad mates with a context-sensitive “One-Button Squad Command” control. Destructible environments can be reduced to rubble, creating interactive cover points that can be blown away with enough firepower.

Blacksite: Area 51 is set to ship to stores this September for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.  If you’re interested in seeing what this game is all about, head out to the Xbox Live Marketplace to download the BlackSite teaser demo.  I know I enjoyed what little time is allowed to play the demo.  It played pretty good.  I hope they fix the ammo animations though.  The bullets didn’t have that extra ‘umph’ when fired for some reason.  (yes I know it’s a demo so there’s time)

I actually didn’t care for this game until I played the demo. I was surprised by the demo and look forward to playing the final game.

I liked the demo alot, even though it only took maybe 5 minutes to finish. The best part of it though, came right at the closing outro, when those magic words popped up : ” Online Coop”.

Same here. I would never have thought of getting the game if it were not for the demo. Something about just running around killing aliens in it was fun. It has been done plenty of times before, but the way they put it all together was still interesting and fun to play.

I completely agree. I wasn’t really interested until I got my hands on the demo. Now I have to rent it, and it’s a good candidate for a buy.
