I woke up this morning to check on my Hour of Victory demo status (started downloading last night and fell asleep) and when I did something surprised me. There was yet another demo in the Xbox Live Marketplace. This one is full of tiny little minions for you to control. Yes, a demo of Codemasters’ Overlord has arrived to give us all a little taste of Gremlin…scratch that, Minion.

For those of you not in the know, check out the latest trailer of Overlord below and head to the U360 message boards to discuss the trailer a bit more.

I just played the entire demo last night…I loved it…..looks to be a VERY interesting game and being evil fighting heros sounds great…along with controling numerous “minions” and re-building your castle/tower. There will also be multiplayer….not sure if its online or not…..doubt it.
Deacon is correct…the make or break it is the camera control…..it is not good right now…..PLEASE fix it….please..please..please

Maybe they should use the Dpad to control the minions instead of the tradtionally camera controlled right stick…
Im still digging the game alot though

yeah they need to do someting for sure. that is a big turn off right now. i’d rather not sweep my minions if it means having camera control.

I was very surprised by this game’s uniqueness. The humor, gameplay, and graphics are very well made. I have had no problems with the camera at all. The auto-camera works just fine. If I wanted to turn around and look into the opposite direction, then I would use the reset camera button on the pad.
Playing the evil side is very refreshing. Letting others do the evil things to keep your hands clean is even more evil :D. I loved it when my minons obediently delievered me everything they found, rode the sheep, or even sacrified themselves for the sake of my health, mana, or pleasure :D.

The camera didn’t bother me that much. I loved the demo, it’s quite charming. And it’s not another damn shooter so that’s nice.
