Shadowrun Demo Available
So you’re one of the people who weren’t selected for the beta huh? And you just so happen to be one of the people who aren’t willing to shell out $60 for the game huh? You won’t do it without trying it huh? Well, here’s your chance to try it. I’ve actually had a few fun times with Shadowrun on Xbox Live. It’s still a bit of stretch to cough up $60 for a limited title but at least now you can make a pretty educated decision on whether or not to buy it.
Head out and get your download on!

Not sure if you heard this Deacon, but their releasing a new Chronicles of Riddick on Xbox 360, named The Chronicles of Riddck: Assault of Dark Athena. This qoute is from OXM: “Finally, we can reveal the reason that Xbox classic The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay has yet to be added to the backwards-compatibility list: it’s coming to Xbox 360 this winter! Believe it: a beefed-up version of Starbreeze’s criminally underappreciated stealth-shooter gem - dubbed The Chronicles of Riddick, Assault on Dark Athena - is being remastered in 720p for Xbox 360, complete with an additional single-player campaign and a new multiplayer mode.” I figured that I would just make sure that you knew, since I know how much you love Escape From Butcher Bay. lol.

I think I was one of the biggest skeptics of Shadowrun harshly offending the bad design choices of an MP-only game at full retail price with only nine maps, and 3 game types (two variations of Capture the Flag, and Team Survival).
I bought the game on May, 29th. And I won’t trade it in. Why? It is an MP game of awe-dropping depth. You could call it the Virtua Fighter among the multiplayer shooters where extreme team tactics are a must. It is the only shooter where I would actually say that team tactics has such a huge impact: does your team has a resurrecter, someone with enhanced vision who can look through walls and call targets, someone who can spawn minions and defend a distinct place very well or even someone who can spawn Trees of Life as life-savers for wounded players?
In its core it is one of the best multiplayer shooters ever created. It’s true that it hasn’t much in common with the Pencil & Paper Shadowrun anymore. But, who cares? It is true that it has no stat tracking yet. But if you play the game, you will experience one of the most fun online shooters ever created.
