XBLA – Pac-Man Championship Edition
Are you ready to gobble up more dots and ghosts in a completely new way? The Pac-Man Championship Edition marks the first time in 26 years that the game will have new mazes to navigate only on the Xbox 360.
The new mazes dynamically change shape during gameplay. This edition also includes six new timed game modes (Challenge Mode 1&2, Extra Mode 1, 2&3 plus Championship Mode), new soundtracks and high-definition (HD) graphics.

YAY! – 3 Pac-Man games on XBLA! Surely that’s how they’re going to revive the franchise!

Seriously, even if it’s a championship edition or whatever, 800 points is kinda steep. Oh, and did I mention that we already have Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. Not to suggest favoritism, but that’s 3 XBLA Wednesdays that NAMCO has graciously been given, just for their Pac-Man franchise. Surely there is some indy game much better and better suited to release this week for 800 points.

yeah…one of the reasons why i elected not to post about it. i knew the venue wouldn’t present anything considered “major” across the interweb. so you guys owe me for choosing not to go with the hype train lol

800 Ponits is an insult for any gamer out there. I know all about how the history of the game paved the way but it’s not worth 800 points. Pretty sad really!

I’m glad I am not the only person who quibbles over the price of games on XBL.
I love pac-man….BUT
I can play many great games for 400-500 points.
Big disappointment…..I would like to play it….but not for 800 points.

People on twitter are very angry over this. Not Pacman itself,but all the hype leading up to the moment. What did people expect? MS merge with Nintendo?

Thanks for the advice. I have watched many demos and it looks very interesting. But not for 800 points….lets hope they drop it to 400 points.

I agree $10 for an updated pacman it way to much.
