Summer Titles to Play Before Halo 3
I know many of you have been wondering what’s next after the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta? What can Xbox 360 owners look forward to playing as the wait for September 25th begins? Here’s my rundown of titles that you can look forward to and some that you can head out to play right now (or again).
Forza Motorsport 2 – May 29

Racing fans around the globe have been eagerly anticipating the release of this sequel. It’s the Xbox 360′s premiere simulation racer so you know the goodies are packed within. Try playing it with the 360 wireless wheel for maximum experience.
Shadowrun PC/Xbox 360 – May 29

Hey you asked for something to do while you wait and this is a very viable option. If only for the PC to Xbox 360 play, Shadowrun is worth a test drive. The multiplayer has as good a chance as any game to be great especially considering it’s the only option available.
The Darkness – June

If you haven’t seen the trailers, then I suspect you’ll question this being on the list. But if you’ve seen it, then you’ll understand. This game has creepy and action seemingly down to a science. It should surely keep you occupied for a spell.
DiRT – June

After playing the demo, I can safely put this game on the list. I really enjoyed the demo. The game looks great and plays just as good. Some of you may hold off on it due to the lack of true online multiplayer but for people like myself who aren’t fiends for multiplayer, it’ll do just fine.
Vampire Rain – July

It’s probably not on anyone’s radar but the game looks to be decent enough to hold your attention. Specialized equipment, cool weapons and battles against the Nightwalkers just sound good ya know.
John Woo Presents Stranglehold – August

John Woo + action + Xbox 360 = winner? I can only hope. This game looks to mix a little Max Payne with a lot of John Woo action so I’m hoping for good things. The trailers and screenshots so far look pretty good.
BioShock – August

The water effects alone warrant a look at this game. It looks amazing! I’m really, really anticipating the release of this game. I’m ready to be caught up in its ‘Rapture’ for sure.
Mass Effect – September

I’m hoping the delay Gods don’t show their faces with this title. Bioware is an amazing developer so I’m expecting good things. If this doesn’t occupy your time until the H3 release, then you’re better off just turning off your 360 and waiting.
Xbox Live Marketplace Demos
Say what Deacon? That’s right. If you find that you’ve played out your gaming library, then why not just jump to the Xbox Live Marketplace and try some demos. Demos for DiRT, Hour of Victory and many others will have released prior to Halo 3.
So there you have it. I hope this gives everyone (even those who aren’t waiting for Halo 3) some sort of strategy when it comes to the long wait after the beta ends.
