The moment many of you Marvel fans have been waiting for is finally here.  The Marvel Ultimate Alliance Expansion Pack featuring eight (8) new playable characters is *available!  Head out to the Xbox Live Marketplace and download The Incredible Hulk, Magneto, Hawkeye, Sabretooth, Doctor Doom, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Venom, each complete with new signature powers, skins, dialog, conversations and achievement points.

MUA: New Heroes & Villains

Hero & Villain Pack Combo - 800 Microsoft Points
Hero Pack Single - 500 Microsoft Points
Villain Pack Single - 500 Microsoft Points

What’s interesting about this is that Activision is offering a combo deal in addition to the two individual Hero and Villain packs.  That’s a pretty good strategy.  There are some restrictions on these as noted by Major Nelson.  *The packs aren’t available Austria, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Switzerland or Taiwan.

2K Sports let the cat out of the bag about their new MLB game, The BIGS.  I’ve never been big on baseball games but this one is looking incredible.  Just take a look at the screenshots and you’ll agree with me.  It’s headed to the Xbox 360 this summer.  It’ll also be headed to the PS2, PS3, Wii and PSP.

“With The BIGS, we want to take the baseball genre to new heights and redefine what a baseball video game can be,” said Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio.  “The BIGS has the fast learning curve of an arcade game coupled with deep play mechanics, amazing visuals, and hero-like presentation of real MLB players that will keep gamers coming back for more. The BIGS will showcase dramatic highlight reel moments at every at-bat, creating a truly epic baseball title.”

Fans will redefine the baseball highlight reel by performing dramatic wall grabs, spectacular diving plays, and epic homeruns. Unique and intuitive gameplay controls deliver a new baseball experience, while advanced power-up mechanics add exciting depth with each turn. Turbo gameplay raises the action bar to new heights, and culminates in the ultimate batter pitcher power-up duel, where either the pitcher’s Big Heat will be the turning point, or the batter’s Power Blast will be the explosive end to the game. In The BIGS, every play is a big play.

In The BIGS, each MLB player has been individualized to emphasize their extraordinary athletic attributes. The development team paid great attention to detail to portray a player’s face and physical characteristics so baseball fans will easily recognize their favorite players. To deliver the authentic MLB atmosphere, stadium landmarks have been stylized to highlight the unique architecture of each MLB ballpark. Whether it’s the glove at San Francisco’s AT&T Park resized to mammoth proportions or the left field wall in Boston’s Fenway Park made into a real “Green Monster,” gamers will be in awe at the grandeur of each stadium in The BIGS.

What say you?  Are you ready to step up with The BIGS?

I just wanted to post for those of you having issues downloading Eets: Chowdown that the team is aware of it.

Eets: Chowdown

The trial and full versions of the game have been taken down.  I’ll edit this article once the issue has been resovled.  The download is now working.  You should be able to enjoy Eets: Chowdown now.  You can check AceyBongos’ site for more information.

- If you were planning to download Eets Chowdown: Please wait until it goes back up on Marketplace. When it does, it will be fixed.

- If you have already downloaded Eets Chowdown: Once the game goes back up you will be able to re-download the fixed version without paying again. I’ll let you know when you can do this.

Who’s agitating my dots?  I know the obsession you all have with Pac-Dots, power pellets and ghosts.  That’s why you’re all fine tuning those Pac-Man skills in preparation for the Pac-Man World Championships right?  If the one thing you’re missing is the actual Pac-Man game to play then I have you covered.  I’m going to sponsor 5 of you by giving out that same number of Pac-Man redeem codes to download the full version from the Xbox Live Arcade!

Pac-Man

Are you game to enter the Pac-Man Championships and make Deacon proud by bringing home the win? (or at least giving it a shot)  Five (5) of you will have the opportunity to do just that.  It’s all for fun so get your pellet-crunching power up.

Sponsor me Deacon!  I’ll bring home the win.  What do I do?

If you’re a Pac-Maniac, simply send me a message on Xbox.com or Xbox Live with “Pac-Maniac”.  I’ll send the codes out to the lucky five tonight!

What say you?  Supposedly someone in the current Halo 3 Beta, leaked new video of the highly anticpated title.  The video showcases a map called Last Resort, apparently a new look at Zanzibar, and gives fans a glimpse of the ever-so-cool Bubble Shield in action.

Was it a leak or just a guy at Bungie or Microsoft deciding to have some fun?  It doesn’t really matter to me as the official Halo 3 Beta is a few short weeks away.  On May 16, we’ll all have Halo 3 oozing out of our brains so much that we’ll be begging for a break.

Halo 3

If you haven’t seen the footage, you can head over to our friends at Xbox 360 Fanboy to check out not only the initial video, but a cool in depth analysis of it as well.

To get you guys ready for the next Unscripted Nights event that goes down this Friday, I submit to you GRAW 2 as the Play of the Week.  Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 has a great co-op element to it that is even better when played with friends.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2

So head out and rent it if you don’t already own it.  You’ll need some practice as we try to dominate the missions this Friday night.

I know you’re all ready for another Unscripted Nights event aren’t you?  I know I sure am!  It’s about to go down in a few days so tell the wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend or chia pet that it’s game time Friday night.

Unscripted Nights

Friday, April 27: 10PM CST / 8PM PST / 11PM EST GRAW 2

How do I get in?

Simple.  Send me the usual message via Xbox.com or Xbox Live saying “Unscripted Nights” and you’re all set.  I’ll invite you and so will others who are hosting during the events.

I don’t have these games.  What’s up?

Gear up for the usual Unscripted Nights after party with Gears of War!  When the official Unscripted Nights events end on Friday, we’ll get the Gears of War after party going for anyone who wishes to join!

Here’s a cool video of what you all can expect from this Wednesday’s Xbox Live Arcade title, Pinball FX.  I have to be honest and say I didn’t expect to be as pleased as I was with something so simple.  But it looks really good.
