April 2007 Xbox BC Update
It’s been a while but an update has come to the list of original Xbox games playable on your Xbox 360 console. The April 2007 BC Update includes titles like Jet Set Radio Future and MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf. To my disappointment there was no sign of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay!
Oh well. I suppose you can’t have everything you want. For those of you enjoying Xbox games on your Xbox 360, I hope you enjoy the new additions.

I’m not gonna harp on about the games missing because I’ve done that already over a doze times today lol
Instead, I’m gonna question why theres a huge lack of PAL support in these titles. Firstly, JSRF doesn’t work on PAL machines, neither PAL 60 nor PAL 50.
Secondly, they need to start labelling the games for the PAL users out there using the VGA cable. Only PAL 60 enabled games work on the 360 via VGA annd then theres a good few of them that don’t too like Doom 3 and Half-Life 2.
Spiderman 2 is a PAL 60 game but theres no way of knowing if it’ll work or not unless you buy it and try it yourself. I have it coming so I can do it and post what I find.
Heres a helpful site for PAL users; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_games_compatible_with_Xbox_360
It lists all the games that have been actually played and tested on the specific machine. For Europeans using VGA method, PAL 60 enabled games are what you need.

I would say this is the first truly great BC update. There are many good games on this list. I literally started jumping around when I read RTCW was on the list. RTCW and NFL 2K5 was the only 2 games I refused to trade in from Xbox, even though I traded in my Xbox.
What I can’t understand is why the games that were made after the 360 game out are not BC out of the Box? You would think the developers would want to include the code to make their games BC as they are developing them if not only for the extra sales the potential 360 market would bring. I could understand the amount of time it takes older games to be made BC, but new games like Mortal Combat, God Father, ScareFace, etc I think should of all been BC from the fist day they came out. I probably would of bought them at the time to. Maybe MS doesn’t want xbox games taking away potential sales of 360 games?
