XB Stream 1.5 Released
I know plenty of you out there are conveniently listening/reading Unscripted 360 via XB Stream. I wanted to update you all on the release of a new version 1.5 of the software. It’s been available for a few weeks and it fixes some text issues as well as Windows Vista issues some users were experiencing. If you haven’t already upgraded from XB Stream 1.4, make sure you do.

For those of you unaware of what XB Stream is, I did some coverage on it back in October detailing it a bit. XB Stream allows you to stream audio and text xml based feeds to your Xbox 360, delivering constantly refreshing and exciting content to your Xbox 360. Read about the latest news, rumors and gossip from your favorite websites, as well as listen to your favorite podcast personalities while playing your favorite games all on your Xbox 360!
Sounds hot doesn’t?! So head out and upgrade or install it today and get Unscripted 360 directly on your Xbox 360! It’s the perfect match. Thanks again to PG4 for updating XB Stream to include U360.

I’ve been using XB Stream for a few months and love it… I prefer reading text blogs on my computer, but it’s great to be able to listen to blogcasts (like Major Nelson or, of course, Unscripted) while playing games that don’t require too much focus. You know, grab a horse in Oblivion and ride around listening to a podcast… good fun.

That’s sweet… I would love that. I listen to Pod (Blog) casts all the time. How does this actually work? I install the XBStream on my computer that is hooked up to my 360 and then just stream the audios from there?

The XBStream website lists the system requirements – if your computer meets them, install the software. It comes with sufficient documentation. Basically as long as you have either Windows Media Connect or Windows Media Player 11 configured to stream content to your Xbox 360, XBStream will work.

I’ll pass with XBsteam, if my PC is already switched on I’ll just use that
