What’s life outside of gaming like with you? Tell the readers a bit about the person behind the console.
Well, my name is Brian and I’m a 24 year old from the state if Missouri. I’m part owner of a medical billing service company. We have a few offices in California, Tennessee and Missouri. I recently got married just this past October to my wonderful wife. Outside of gaming, I enjoy fixing up import tuner cars and hanging out with friends and family.
My days vary from day to day, but for the most part I try and keep life pretty simple. I have been a gamer since as far as I can remember. My first console was the NES. I got it with the Mario Bros./Duck Hunt combo game and the cool light gun that came with it. I’ve been hooked ever since.
What’s the story behind the Gamertag?
Well, when I first got my original XBOX, I went straight to the XBOX Live feature on the dashboard. After about 2 hours of trying to create a gamertag using all my other nicknames and them all being taken, I decided to use the name of my car club. Amazingly it wasn’t taken. The name took a little getting used to, but now it’s cool. Most people just call me ExOtIc for short.
You’ve been a part of the 360 community for a while. Why?
There was just something about the 360 community as a whole that just lured me in. From all the great sites out there like www.x360a.org, www.majornelson.com and of course www.unscripted360.com, there is just so much stuff going on, on a daily basis and it’s so exciting everyday getting caught up with everything. Also, I have met so many nice people because of the XBOX and built alot a good friendships.
Has the XBOX 360 experience been a good or bad one for you?
Good…hands down. It just seems that Microsoft has hit every aspect of the 360 on the money. They really did their homework on this one.
Which title is getting the most playing time on your XBOX 360?

Probably me and just about everyone else has been playing a ton of CRACKDOWN. But the game that has logged the most playing time on my console is OBLIVION. I’ve logged alot of hours into that game. Even though I have all the Achievement points in the game, I still play it to this day. The game is just so deep, it would take many years for me to do every inch of that game.
Watch out Shivering Isles. What’s your most anticipated 360 title?
I couldn’t just narrow this down to one. So I will list my top 3: Halo 3, Bioshock and Mass Effect.
Good list. Are you looking foward to the Halo 3 Public Beta?
Yes, I have been a huge Halo fan from the start. I’ve gone to MLG Tournaments for Halo 2 and alot of online ones as well. I’m really looking foward to seeing what Bungie has in store for us and what the “X” button really does.
What’s the best feature on the XBOX 360 in your opinion?
Achievements!!! It just adds so much more value to your games and it lets you and your friends have another way to compete with one another. Now that I’ve had achievements in games for awhile, it’s hard to imagine how I ever played games without achievements.
Have you purchased any of the new XBOX 360 accessories?
Yes, I currently own a Vision Camera, HD-DVD Player and a Memory Unit. They are all great additions to the 360 and I haven’t had a problem with any of them. I really enjoy the Vision Camera. It finally lets me put a face with some of my friends I have known on XBOX for a few years.
How do you feel about the Marketplace and what it has offered so far?
I think it was a great idea. I’m always checking it for new and updated content for all my games. Some things are a little expensive in my opinion, but I have the belief that your wallet is your voice on the whole marketplace issue. I’ve used the Video Marketplace as well and I can’t say anything is wrong in that area either.
You have quite the Gamerscore. Which do you play for the score or Achievements?
Both. When I play a game I try and get all the achievements in the game (even the zero point ones). When playing, I try to get as much as I can, but some are just beyond my skill level. So those just never get unlocked.
Do you get any grief from gamers about your Gamerscore?
Yes. For the most part, alot of people are curious as to how many games I own and ask alot of questions about the Gamerscore system. But, there are a few people out there that give me a hassle about my gamerscore. Comments range from profanity
to you’re a nerd/geek that has no life and will never get a girl and you will live in your mom’s basement forever. I just leave feedback, file a complaint and mute. But to answer your question, there are a few bad apples out there that give me a hard time.
Screw ‘em! Recently the XBOX rewards program launched. What do you think of it?
I think it’s awesome. I get gamerscore anyway, so if Microsoft wants to give me rewards for getting it, I’m all for it. I really like how they have multiple levels for the program. My wife plays a little bit, so it can even benefit her as well.
What’s the best XBOX Live Arcade title and why?
Geometry Wars. That game is just so much fun even to this day. From the difficulty, to the every-game-is-different aspect. The game gets real crazy when you’re at 950,000 and havent lost a life yet. Hopefully they will make another one.
One thing that you think separates the 360 and the community around it?
I think the fact that all you guys/gals listen to what “us” as a community is saying and respond with actions, not just promises.
If you were a game developer, what type of game would you make for the 360?
I would remake my all-time favorite game and make it a XBOX Live Arcade game. Super Baseball Simulator 1000 from the Super Nintendo. Maybe with some updated graphics and a multiplayer feature. I think the game would be a hit. If anyone at Microsoft is reading this, PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Name a feature you want in the next XBOX 360 system update.
Multiple Person Private Chat (Group Chat). I mean one person is great, but to be able to talk to 2 or 3 in a Group Chat is where it’s at. I’m sure if it’s possible they will add it someday. It’s probably just a bandwidth issue or something.
Ok. One game. One Shot. You against Sub Zero from Mortal Kombat. Who wins and what game are you playing?
Let’s see. I would like to play him in NBA JAM (Arcade). I would probably lose because he would just feeze me everytime I had the ball and just steal it from me. If we played a legit game, I think I could take him.
Any parting words?
First off, I would just like to say thanks for the interview Deacon and keep up the great job your doing here at Unscripted360. Also, if anyone wants to play some XBOX 360 games, you can send me a Friend request on XBOX Live. If you get a chance, make sure to check out www.xbox360achievements.org for all your Achievement needs. One last thing Microsoft. I wasn’t kidding about Super Baseball Simulator 1000. Together we can make this happen! CYA!
Thanks for the love ExOtIc!
