It’s a Monday and let me tell you right now that I absolutely have a case of the Mondays today. Maybe it’s because my favorite television show right now, Heroes, doesn’t come back on until April 23. I’ll fight through it though so I welcome you all to another Monday Morning Scripted. For those of you unaware of what this is, it’s a quick rundown of the things I did the previous weekend as well as a look at other notable things around the interweb and community.
I didn’t see any movies but I did notice in today’s local paper that 300 continues to kick major ass in the theaters. (another 30 million racked in) I guess Spartans not only have a thing against Persians but also against any theatrical competition. I loved the movie personally and if you haven’t seen it, then do it…do it.
Did you happen to see the NPD sales numbers for February 2007? Crackdown managed to dominate the month. Many believe it was because of the Halo 3 beta fiasco and well I agree. Although I think it could’ve survived without the beta hype. Would it have still sold the 400,000 copies it did in February? Who knows.
The Xbox 360 Laws got some pub over the weekend as well. 360Zine ran a spotlight of the 360 Laws in their 4th issue’s new 360 Community section. You can subscribe to the digital magazine for free! Have you cited any violators recently? Let me know on the U360 message boards. The next Unscripted Nights event will be announced this Wednesday. I have to give myself some time to go over my game inventory and see which game makes the most sense. Saint’s Row, Rainbow Six Vegas and GRAW 2 are the popular votes right now.
No I’m not interested in Sony’s Home. I’ve had plenty of emails asking what I thought of it. I’ll give more of what I think about it on the next show but I’m really just not interested or impressed with it. I read up on it and it seems like a Sims mixed with NFL 2K’s Crib feature rip. I suppose if virtual worlds and such are your thing then it should be good for you. All it takes is a $500 - $600 investment and it could be yours.
That’s it for now. I haven’t scoped any hot topics so you’ll have to do without them. I blame it on my severe case of the Mondays. Days like this make me happy that my Xbox 360 has a voice. Enjoy the week ladies and gents! I should have a special guest on this week’s show…she’s someone you’ve been consistently emailing me about so stay tuned.
