Remember the accessories explosion I wrote about a few month ago detailing the list of cool toys headed to the Xbox 360 soon? Well that explosion is now complete with the release of the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows. It’s now on store shelves to bring the joy of 360 wireless to your Windows gaming pleasure. And the best part is that it’s only $19.99. For gamers that need both a wireless controller and receiver, Microsoft is offering the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows which includes both the receiver and controller in one package for $59.95! (I’ll take two please)

The Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows will allow gamers to use the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel on any Windows Vista or Windows XP (SP1 or higher)-based PC.
Other features:
- When you use the Xbox 360 Wireless or Wired Headset with the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows or the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, it will be recognized as a second sound device. That means you can configure the headset in games that use voice communication or voice over IP programs. For example, in Games for Windows title, Flight Simulator X, you can output voice communication and radio chatter through the Xbox 360 Wireless or Wired Headset, while still hearing the airplane noise through your main speakers just like a real cockpit!
- Talk to other gamers through the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset when you play online via Games for Windows - Live, soon to hit Windows Vista with Shadowrun, UNO and Halo 2 for Windows Vista, later this year. Use the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset to chat with friends online on MSN Messenger and other applications that use a voice input device.
- Use the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows with all of Windows Vista’s inbox games or navigate Windows Media Center.
I know you’re expecting something…a tidbit…anything but for those who haven’t browsed the interweb, I’m here to report that there will be no release Wednesday morning. What this means is that you can all get a few extra hours of sleep as you head to bed much earlier tonight without having to wait for a release.

I guess for my homies in Pacific City though, we’ll be tearing into more Crackdown! Yeeeeaahhh!
Electronic Arts announced that NBA STREET Homecourt ships to retailers today on the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system. Although it shipped today, don’t expect it in stores until Feb. 22. (PS3 release March 6 and the game will be available in Europe on March 23)

NBA STREET Homecourt features amazing visuals and innovative gameplay. The all-new Trick Remixer lets you take control of your player’s rhythm by mixing quick tricks with elaborate moves, all with the simplicity of two trick buttons. Perform crossovers with an instantaneous response and string together the perfect blend of combinations to take over any game. Take your game to new heights with new flight controls and leap off the shoulders of a teammate for the leap off dunk, or pull off the ultimate double dunk to beat your opponent and electrify the crowd.
NBA STREET Homecourt is the first Xbox 360 game to support 1080p and boasts a seamless blending of animation running at 60fps* The game features the NBA’s biggest stars rendered with meticulous detail, and, for the first time ever in a videogame, six WNBA stars. Go from an unknown talent to a playground legend and put your homecourt on the map by dominating courts from coast to coast. It’s your turn to take on the NBA’s best and walk away a hero.
A downloadable Xbox 360 demo is already available, with additional game content being created exclusively for download on Xbox Live® Marketplace post-launch, including two free bonus courts.
*NBA STREET Homecourt was designed to run at 60fps when set at 720p or lower.
I know it seems like this must be Crackdown Day but hey that’s how it goes sometimes. Realtime Worlds isn’t waiting on any official release date to deliver the goodies for Crackdown. Those who pick up a copy of the game, can head out to the Xbox Live Marketplace and download this hot content! It’s already waiting for ya.
The Four Play Pack includes four new Agent skins for you to choose from. The download comes in at 8.71MB. This is how you start a game release off baby…fresh content. And the best thing about it is that the download is free! Here is a look at the new Agents. (thx for the image Herman Gatevold)

I wanted to spread the news about tomorrow’s scheduled maintenance. Here’s the news courtesy of Major Nelson.
On Tuesday February 20th from 0200-0500 PST (2AM - 5AM) Xbox Live will be offline for maintenance. As a result, the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you will not be able to post.) The remainder of Xbox.com will be available for your browsing pleasure.
This is for maintenance only, there will be no new features that will appear on Xbox.com, your dashboard or Xbox Live when we return to service. Don’t worry. This is in the early morning hours so it shouldn’t interfere with any Xbox Live time for those of you planning to purchase Crackdown.
This is for all of you Crackdown - Crack the Caption freaks out there. This is what the winner will be receiving. No not this one…this is my copy but I wanted to show what DHL delivered to me today and pump you guys/gals up a bit.

It’s a good thing that the packaging only stated do not sell before tomorrow instead of saying do not play. I fired it up immediately and let me just say that the intro alone had my heart racing for some Crackdown. The game includes the Halo 3 beta slip and a cool double-sided map of Pacific City and the Crackdown Achievements in the game. I took a few pics of it for the image fans out there.
Pacific City here I come! (thx Steve, Tony, Tom & Chris)
The captions for the Crackdown - Crack the Caption contest have been hilarious! Remember that I hinted at something being given out? Well, there is indeed something in store for the best caption. The caption that stands above them all will receive a copy of the game! That’s right. If you submit the caption to beat all captions, I’ll supply you with a copy of Crackdown. (to be used ofcourse on future Unscripted Nights!) No, you don’t have to use it for that. I just wanted to put it out there that Crackdown would indeed be Unscripted Nights enabled.

So, for those of you who haven’t submitted your captions for the Crack the Caption contest…be sure that you do before the end of February. I’ll be picking and posting the winner along with 4 runner ups during the first week of March. What do the runner ups get? I’m working on it. Until I announce it, get your captions in, have some fun and watch for your name. See the original article for more details about the contest.
Ready to double dunk and break all kinds of ankles this week? NBA Street Homecourt is set to hit stores this week, February 22 and what better way to join in on the action by winning a copy of the game! EA Sports unleashed a sweepstakes a few days ago which gives fans a chance to not only win the game, but also win a limited edition pair of Jordans!

NBA Street Homecourt Sweepstakes
If you can guess which Homecourt is being featured in the videos, you can win a prize pack featuring a limited edition pair of Jordans, a copy of Homecourt and a T-shirt. Up until Feb 23, a new video clue will be released. Each clue reveals progressively more about which court it is. The earlier you guess correctly, the better your chance of winning. So head out to see the videos and get your guess in.
You all remember the invitation codes I dished out with Activision’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance VIP community don’t you? Well, they’re at it again for the upcoming game, Spiderman 3. I was selected as a Founding Member in the Spiderman 3 community and with that came 20 friend invites for anyone interested in joining the community to get some inside scoop on the game.
Ok. How can I get an invite?
Easy. Just email me and I’ll get the invite out to you. I need an email address to send the invites to. Or you can simply post your email in the comments section. Remember, there are only 20 invites at my disposal. After the 20 has gone out, there are no more!
Are you ready for some next generation web-slinging? I am! This game should be pretty good on the Xbox 360.
Are you interested in seeing just how many people have finished the Old Spice 1500 Gamerscore Challenge? Or perhaps you only care about where you stand? Morgon at MyGamerCard.net has a new tool to let you in on who has completed the challenge and even how far you have to go.

Xbox RewardSpy is its name and tracking your progress in the Xbox Rewards Program is its game. Keep in mind that this is an unofficial tracker. Make sure you read the disclaimer so that you’re not pitching any fits if you’re not on the list or if your progress is wrong. This is just a quick tool to use for those who choose to. Good work Morgon!
