Crackdown Cometh
This is for all of you Crackdown – Crack the Caption freaks out there. This is what the winner will be receiving. No not this one…this is my copy but I wanted to show what DHL delivered to me today and pump you guys/gals up a bit.
It’s a good thing that the packaging only stated do not sell before tomorrow instead of saying do not play. I fired it up immediately and let me just say that the intro alone had my heart racing for some Crackdown. The game includes the Halo 3 beta slip and a cool double-sided map of Pacific City and the Crackdown Achievements in the game. I took a few pics of it for the image fans out there.

lol you can tell this is a ms game because it’s being pushed HARD. the game is good but no pa tanto.

Did yours arrive today? The Zone copy is supposed to be here today but it hasn’t arrived yet, UPS usually delivers around 4:30 or 5PM. Provided it shows I will be sequestered for the rest of the night playing just so I can get word up on ghostriderszone.com. I loved the demo and I am really excited about the full game. Some have said that Crackdown is just a fancy package for the Halo 3 beta and I don’t think so. Now that the Gears frenzy has cooled a little, it’s about time for something really awesome and even though the Halo 3 beta is cool, Crackdown is what I think will be the next big hit.

I hate you guys.
A few of the stores here in the UK broke street date and the game is available. Online retailers also got in on the act with the game arriving at customers doorstep as early as 5 days.

IMO this is a good evolution of the GTA style gaming. I love the 50s style voice over, “remember agent skills mean kills”. The RPG aspects of the game hooked me as they allow the incredible feats of strength and agility. Two days into the game and I can lift 2 ton objects and drop kick a car with people in it. Hi I am an agent and my hobbies are launching into second story balconies, puppies, and fighting crime. The weapon depots are a good touch allowing you to re-spawn and add new weapons to your arsenal. Halo Beta 3 tipped the scales toward this being a game to buy instead of rent. Now on to the co-op agents!
