I know the buzz has been around about a demo of NBA STREET: Homecourt. I’m here to give you a date. February 2. That means one day after the scheduled Def Jam: Icon demo, EA will dish an assist with the demo of NBA STREET: Homecourt! First you get some hip-hop beat downs and then you go for the alley-oop with Melo. Nice!

*edit to include official EA announcement of the demo for those who didn’t believe me:
Electronic Arts is pleased to announce that a downloadable demo of NBA STREET Homecourt for the Xbox 360 will be available on Xbox Marketplace this Friday, February 2.
Download the NBA STREET Homecourt demo for your early look at the game and master the new Trick Remixer and Flight Control systems. Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets vs. Rip Hamilton and the Detroit Pistons at Venice Beach – first to 7 gets bragging rights. Experience all the big moments and be prepped to humiliate your opponents when the real deal ships to retailers on February 20 and March 6, on Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively.

[...] Unscripted360.com is reporting that the NBA Street: Homecourt demo will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace on February 2nd. Yes, that’s only two days after the release of the Def Jam: Icon demo. Now, you’ll have two games to try out this weekend, pick a favorite (or favorites if you like both), and be able to preorder by Monday. Now that’s some fine multitasking that wouldn’t be possible without the help of the XBLM. Long live video game demos. [...]
