Although my Xbox 360 console has yet to have any problems, I won’t fail to report this bit of news announced today for all of you who have experienced issues. It’s out with the old 90-day warranty and in with the new standard 1-year warranty for every Xbox 360 console purchased in the US and Canada.
Effective today (December 22), the one year warranty is now the standard for all Xbox 360 consoles. Customers that experience hardware issues with their Xbox 360 within one year of purchase will have their consoles repaired at no cost. Moreover, the new warranty policy is retroactive, so consumers that may have already paid for out-of-warranty Xbox 360 repair within one year of the console’s purchase will be eligible for reimbursement of their console repair charges.

Not if the console was purchased on launch day or before 12/22/05.
The official announcement is pretty clear about that.

That’s weird, cause I just called and asked if my Xbox 360, manufactured 10/24/2005, and received on 11/19 is covered, and he said yes.
