What’s the story behind your Gamertag?

Well let’s see. This is actually my third gamertag name. I like comics and Star Wars so I basically combined my favorite Star Wars characters’ name (Darth Revan not Darth Vader lol) with my favorite comic book character. I didn’t even think the name would be available. I have actually been thinking about changing my name again but I had a vote to decide what to use and Darth Doomsday won so the tag will stay.

I like it.  Outside of gaming, what does Darth Doomsday do? Who is he?

I’m 17 and I’m a senior in high school and I currently live in Burbank California, but I’m moving to Wentzville Missouri in a few months. I don’t have a job (obviously lol) even though I have tried to get one. I’m home schooled so I basically do school work then hop on the forums and play some games.

You seem to enjoy the Xbox 360 community. Why?

The Xbox community is great. I didn’t know what I was missing until I set up Xbox Live when I got my 360. I have fun everytime I play online. Most people are just great to play with. I also like the forums a lot. I go to the Xbox forums everyday. I like helping people out and 95% of my friends are from the forums. It’s by far the best community I have seen.

Anything you think the community needs in order to get better?

I can’t really think of anything. Maybe the community just needs more helpful people around. I can’t do it all myself lol.

You and a few others have had this Late Night Gaggle going on for a bit. What’s that about?

The Late Night Gaggle was a group started by Rham and K2Valor that was just for setting up for hanging out and having a good time on the forums and on Xbox Live. The group usually votes for a game each week that will be played on Saturday at 7pm PST. Gears has been the winner every week for the last month or two. We just play for fun, and no we are not a clan. The group now has about 80-90 members which is great.

Has the Xbox 360 experience been a good or bad one for you?

It has been great. I can’t really think of anything that has been bad. Everytime I turn on my 360 I know I will have a good time. It also allows me to play with my best friend without having to go to his house, and I will be able to play with him even after I move which is probably the best part.

What’s your gaming set up?

What set up? lol

I don’t have most of my stuff since it is in storage in Missouri. I currently play on a 13″ tv and that’s basically it. I want to pick up the VGA cables so I can use my 19″ LCD pc monitor. I usually play on a 27″ tv with 5.1 surround sound.

27″ isn’t bad for gaming.  Which title is getting the most playing time on your 360?

I have been playing COD3 online and I’m trying to beat Gears Hardcore but it isn’t easy. I also get in some Smackdown vs Raw 07. So basically COD3 is getting the majority of my play time right now but overall COD2 is the game I have played the most.

There are plenty of games that people simply wish they never had played. Which is yours?

Ridge Racer 6. I thought the game looked good but when I actually played it the game was just horrible. I couldn’t crash even if I tried. It was just a bad game and I actually bought it for $60.

What’s your most anticipated 360 title?

That’s a good question. I think I’ll go with Mass Effect, but BioShock is a very close second. I really like RPGs especially the ones made my Bioware. I can’t wait for those two games to come out.

BioShock gets my vote.  What’s the best feature on the Xbox 360 in your opinion?

Xbox Live. The ability to play online is just awesome. It is even better now that I’m moving since I can still play with all my friends.

Have you purchased any of the new Xbox 360 accessories?

The only new accessory I have is the Vision Camera. I want to get the Wireless Headset but I need to get a new 12 Month Gold card first so that will have to wait. I also like that 360 Briefcase you got but I don’t really have a reason to get it lol.

How do you feel about the Marketplace and what it’s offered so far?

I like the Marketplace. I don’t really download too much of the content but I will pick up any good picture packs I find. Having movies and TV shows on the Marketplace is cool but I don’t think I will ever buy any of it. I wish there was more downloadable content for some of the games I own but I heard about some new COD3 maps and Gears content is coming so I just have to wait a little longer.

One of the new COD3 maps is free!  What do you think about the Xbox Live Arcade?

I think it’s getting better. I want to get Assault Heroes when I get some points, and I’m waiting for Alien Hominid and Castle Crasher. There are a few older games that I would like to see on the arcade, like the old X-Men, and Ninja Turtles arcade games.

Is there any one thing that you think the Xbox 360 does better than its competitors?

Online gaming. I have not used the PS online but I have heard that its horrible. I can’t imagine a better online service than Xbox Live. It gives you everything you could want: voice chat, video chat, friends list, downloadable content, the arcade, and the ability to play with people around the world.

If you could build your own customized Xbox 360, what would you include?

I would probably just want a better cooling system. My room gets pretty warm after I turn on my 360. I guess it will help when/if it gets cold in Burbank lol.

Name a feature you want in the next Xbox 360 system update.

I have a few ideas for new features but the one I want the most is multi-chat. Even if the multi-chat only works while I’m on the dashboard that would be fine. I just hate going from channel to channel with all my friends.

Ok. One game. One shot. You against Luke Skywalker. Who wins and what game are you playing?

We will play Super Smash Bros. and I would win very easily. I could even give him 2 extra level 9 players and he would still lose. He might have a chance in some other game but not SSB lol.

I would like to thank you for picking me for your Showcase. I would also like to thank Trixie for posting the Community Group thread that LNG dominated. Because of that thread we have gotten some new members. I might not have the most interesting Showcase ever but I gave it a shot.
