The Ultimate Xbox 360 Accessory
Check out the ultimate in Xbox 360 accessories. Why travel with a regular, boring briefcase when you can travel in so much more style and with so much more purpose? I suppose there can be one exception to the Xbox 360 Law about carrying a backpack as this is clearly not a backpack. So excuse the fact that it’s technically still a carrying accessory because it’s that damn awesome. The holidays just keep getting better! Yes I’m a boy who likes his toys.

What is that? The 360 sniper rifle briefcase? Let me guess, the Vision camera has a dual purpose of being a sniper scope.

Very bad news for PS3….

Before the 360 fanboys get too excited though, bad news for MS also in the same story…
Before the launch of the PS3 and Wii, many speculated Microsoft would benefit from the expected shortages. The theory went that consumers, frustrated by their inability to find a new Nintendo or Sony system, would pick up an Xbox 360 for loved ones.
Now, though, analysts aren’t sure that is happening.
“The kicker for Microsoft is going to be the psychology of scarcity in a seasonal environment where people need to make a decision,” he said. “It appears, based on these numbers, that they might be buying handheld systems instead.”

The shortage of the PS3 was one factor in me purchasing a XBOX 360. But another was the price because the same games that are on the PS3 are available on the 360 also. Microsoft has used this shortage to its advantage by boosting their marketing campaign this holiday season with the XBOX 360 commercials and the Burger King games. I don’t see too many PS3 commercials though, I guess due to the shortage. 2007 will be the real test to see who will rule the gaming war.

How was the news that Oblivion beat GoW (and rightly so) for game of the year missed?

I expected that to be the case as well…turns out analysts are in agreement that is not becoming the case in significant numbers.
In fact…I said that the PS3 shortage would be best thing to happen to 360 this holiday season. Just like 360 was the best thing to happen to PSP last year. Looks like another year for handhelds.
I actually think they could ship 600,000 more by the end of the year….like I kept saying…MS is a software company, whereas Sony is in the business of making hardware. Thats what they do.
i’m not going to mention that someone has about one week to turn out 600,000+ consoles for North America or the someone who was pretty adamant about this above quote owes me something.

Yes sir…Sony appears to have failed miserably in their shipping numbers.
Therefore, it seems I will end up being wrong in my prediction and gave them more credit than they deserved.
That having been said though MS is also 2 million behind in their goal of 10 million by years end (search Aka Magi’s link from earlier today, he outlined the whole thing). An error business analysts predict will impact their stock price in the coming trading days as the goal was expressed by Moore, Gates and Ballard alike.

HOLD THE PHONE….
Maybe not!!!!
“Taylor said both Sony and Nintendo are actively working to get additional units on retail shelves. Sony, he said, is shipping roughly 75,000-100,000 units to the U.S. each week. He expects there to be 600,000-800,00 PS3s available in the U.S. by year’s end.”
