Tell me about the gamer behind the Gamertag.

I like to consider myself a hard-core gamer but in all reality I’m pretty casual in my approach to it. I’m 31 years young now and still love playing games. There is no real end in sight for me. I wish I had more time to play though, the g/f watches alot of T.V. so we have to compromise in that respect.

I’ve read a few comments aimed at your Gamertag….so how’d you come up with it?

As far back as I can remember all of my friends would call me an Irishprik when they got upset with me. I guess it just kind of stuck. Plus my first and last names are very Irish and I love beer lol.

You’re pretty active within the Xbox 360 community.  What’s the best part about that?

The way Microsoft integrated live with xbox.com just takes gaming to the next level for me. Playing in live with my friends from the forums is the most fun I have had in a long time. This is a great community and I have met a lot of great people here, including you Deac.

Yep be glad you met me dude lol. Why ‘Jump In’ with the Xbox 360?

After my reconstrucitive knee surgery (ACL tear) I was in the market for a console as I was going to have a lot of time on my hands. Being a Nintendo guy as a kid , I was seriously considering buying a Gamecube. However, when I went into Best Buy and saw Halo playing on a demo Xbox, I was sold immediately. Buying the 360 was just the next logical step for me.

Halo does it again. What are you playing the most on your 360?

Gears and Vegas…it’s just a great one-two punch. Although I’ve been meaning to get back into Oblivion a little more lately, that game is just amazing.

If you were a game developer, what type of game would you make for the Xbox 360?

In all honesty I think we need more adventure games on the 360. Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge shooter fan, but the adventure genre has just received little love so far.

What are your current favorites that could possibly end up Game of the Year?

Oblivion and Gears…..hands down. Finishing GoW on co-op with my best friend from my home town (gt: pilex) was one of the best gaming experiences of my life.

Pilex just made it to the Enforcer’s list.  What do you say to the people who want Gamerscore to translate into Microsoft Points?

We already have enough cheaters and boosters, don’t we? Besides MS points aren’t that expensive and you don’t necessarily have to buy everything that pops up in the market place.

Which 360 title are you waiting to release?

Mass Effect is by far my most anticipated title, but Bio-Shock, Lost Planet, and Assassin’s Creed look great as well.

What has been your biggest ‘next-gen’ moment with the 360?

Like I said before, playing co-op Gears. Words can’t describe how sweet that was.

Gears is the shizzle for sure. How do you feel about what the Xbox Live Video Marketplace and have you tried it?

I’m happy people seem to like it so far, but in all honesty it just doesn’t seem to be for me. Long d/l times and a lack of hdd space turned me off from the beginning. It’s a great idea on paper, I just think it could have been implemented better.

Any opinions on the pricing strategy for some of the content in the Xbox Live Marketplace?

Some of it is rather expensive ( *cough, Graw chapter 2, cough*), but I think most of it is priced fairly.

Do you plan on purchasing the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player or any of the new accessories out for the 360?

I really want to wait and see what happens with the format a little more before I take the leap, but it has my attention for sure. And with my luck , I would buy it and then MS would announce a new improved console with the drive internal…lol.

What feature would you say is the best reason to get an Xbox 360?

Live and this wonderful community. I also think that the arcade is truly under-rated.

All consoles are on the market right now.  How comfortable are you with sticking with the Xbox 360 and why?

There was never any doubt in my mind that the 360 would be the only console I needed. It’s just got it all, including the games and the proven online.

What’s your favorite tune or ritual to get you geared up for some gaming?

Anything by Clutch. Although I pretty much like a little of everything, these guys just totally rock. They have a great cult following and a true unique sound.

Ok. One game. One shot. You against Bill Gates. Who wins and what game are you playing?

lol….tell me his tag and I will make it my life-long mission to find him in a GoW room and curb-stomp him.
