Halo 3 Public Beta - Sign up
Today marks the day that gamers in North America can register for a chance to participate in the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta being released exclusively for the Xbox 360 this coming spring 2007. Did you say chance? Well don’t you remember me eluding to the fact that you’d have to be selected in order to play? You have to pay more attention the next time. Bungie has already stated there would be several chances for those stateside and abroad to enjoy the beta, but I suggest you plan ahead now to not be so disappointed if you don’t get the chance to play.

The beta registering begins today at www.halo3.com so you might want to bookmark the site. Also today, you can tune in to an exclusive broadcast of the latest Halo 3 trailer. During the airing of Monday Night Football on ESPN, a new 60-second Halo 3 trailer will air giving fans a look at the closing chapter in the Halo trilogy. What does Bungie have in store tonight? Don’t miss it! Don’t fret if you do because it will be available on Xbox.com following the broadcast premiere.
Are you ready from some Master Chief?

I liked the trailer. I thought it was way better then the Gears on that is on the marketplace. I wouldnt say its better then the announcement trailer but it was very cool.

Ok, I was successful at registering at about 7:20PM EST last night. A lot of the other members of XBOX Team Rochester had difficulty getting in. I am really psyched about the Halo 3 beta. I have been in touch with several people at Microsoft Marketing about the Halo 3 launch already just so I can make sure where ever it is held that I have an invite. I think I have to work harder than DeaconBlade360 will for that but I am determined!
As for the trailer, it was great but too short. I think a whole CGI movie could be made and it would be a blockbuster. I think there are many possible scripts as Halo has taken on a cult status akin to movie franchises like Star Wars or Star Trek.
For now I will have to be patient, the ShadowRun beta is right around the corner and I am registered and hopeful for that. Until then I am still working my way through Gears of War on Hardcore and I haven’t even cracked the box on CoD3. There is just an awful lot of XBOX 360 goodness going on right now! (BTW: I think there might also be a copy of Viva Pinata in my family’s future
)
