I had not had a lick of problems before the fall update! Oblivion locked up pretty offten but thats all software related.

I’m going to get my cam replaced today on the off-chance it is the problem. It was fine until the update though.

I downloaded the update earlier and it worked fine. I just hope MS fixes the problems that some people are having.

Against my own better judgement I put the update on one of my 360′s and wouldn’t you know it…

E74 error on restart!!!!

I unhooked the cam and play-and-charge and all rebooted fine. Plug the cam back in…E74.

It’s not bricked exactly but this issue is slightly annoying.

i have a 24″ widescreen,well i have my computer hooked up thru DVI and my xbox 360 hooked up to it thru VGA, my xbox 360 is up all the way so is that 1080p??

Both of my 360′s were bricked for almost three days but the first version of the fall update. The problem was confirmed by MS (after be denied by phone support) and affected a certain build number of consoles. Since then I’ll be waiting for at least a day to apply any update. That gives time to look at the threads to see how many people are having problems and what the issues are.

It does no good to act as though mistakes don’t/can’t happen, they have in the past and they will again.

I havent had any problems with the other updates but I could run into a problem at any time so I think the smart thing to do is wait a bit then when all the problems (if any) are fixed I will update.

I dont even need the update since it doesnt help me in any way, so why risk my 360 for something I cant use.

Thanks Doomsday, right thinking people especially ones that had known issues with the last update, (that did in fact brick their 360′s for a few days) learned the hard way about MS updates.

It is in the fanboy’s nature to deny the potential for problems and exonerate MS at all costs. Yes UNSCleric that means you.

Wasn’t my thread buddy, as you know I do not post in the forums. Seems to be more people than just that one guy that had the issue. Open your eyes and look around.
