Xbox 360 Movies, TV Shows and More!
Just when I thought today could get no better…I get home to a press announcement that simply amazed me. The Xbox 360 Video Marketplace was born! Words simply can’t do justice to the dawn of a new era for the Xbox Live Marketplace but without them you wouldn’t know what I’m talking about so read on.
Xbox 360 Teams With CBS, MTV Networks, Paramount Pictures, Turner Broadcasting, UFC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to Digitally Deliver TV Shows and Movies to Gamers

Beginning Nov. 22, on its first anniversary, Xbox 360 will be the first gaming console in history to provide high-definition TV shows and movies directly to gamers in their living rooms. Xbox 360 gamers will have access to the full-length TV shows as downloads to own and movies to rent via download from the Xbox Live network, the worldwide leader in online distribution of high-definition gaming and entertainment content.
“This groundbreaking announcement is a win for everyone,” said Peter Moore, corporate vice president of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. “It connects our partners with one of the most coveted audiences in entertainment today, and provides even greater value to our Xbox Live community, allowing them to enjoy the games and entertainment they want, when they want it.”

I have three words for ya. Game. Set. Match. I don’t know but that sure drives a very large nail into whatever online functions that ‘other’ people are planning. Does this all but guarantee a larder HDD on the way? I think it does but ofcourse lips are sealed. I don’t know what’s left but simply to announce it at this point.
Want to know about the content that’s coming? Read all about the Movies and TV Shows coming here. This is impressive news. It’s good to be an Xbox 360 owner, subscriber to Xbox Live and ofcourse an HDTV owner to boot.

LOL yea they would be low enough to try. Okay I can know say it this was talked about behind the closed doors of the E3 event. Of course it was at the time off the record and “qouted as rumors” Low and behold they put it up right after the 1 year birthday of the 360!
Sony has not lost the battle they may as well have never showed up. Not a fanboy but this is a huge blow to them. A bigger HD you bet of course that still is a rumor as well but we all now it’s a matter of time. It looks like Sony made the biggest mistake of their lives they kept taking jabs at Xbox and MS now who has the last laugh? Sony can’t up one on a system that isn’t even ready to launch or the numbers to compete very early to say this but indeed game, set and match in the next-gen console wars Ouch!

thats the only thing im worried about is the time it takes to download. I think its pretty cool and pretty funny how MS beat Sony to the punch on this one. Always thinking ahead

I love being right. I called this as soon as the Battlestar Galactica thing went up. A step n the right direction if they can get a bigger hard drive onto the market. And a way to transfer you’re existing content between HDs

Yeah, MS needs to release a larger HDD. Come on, 20Gb for streaming HD content?
We need at least 60Gb!

You know, this doesn’t do it for me…
1. I’ve got a HD Tivo … so I have a hard time thinking this will be any better.
2. That HD Tivo has a 300gb hard drive … Even with the rumored 80 or 100 gig HD, that won’t work…. unless it’s HD-Lite’d…
3. The pipe is too small. It’ll take forever to DL a 30-min file on my puny 3mb pipe…
I’d rather see MS concentrating on better downloadable games. The Arcade is a joke to this point with only a few exceptions.
And did you hear the exciting news? Four more retro (yawn) games — from atari.
