Xbox 360 Wireless Headset
Do you want more on this hot, eagerly anticipated, groovy little accessory? I thought so. I got a chance to exchange emails with Duncan (works on the 10 team and writer of Xbox 360 for Dummies) last night and he pointed me to a few interesting videos…one ofcourse being about the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset. Duncan sat down with Deborah Louis, Program Manager over the accessory, and they walked through a lot of interesting things about the headset.

I’ll have mine tomorrow, I can’t wait. A lot of places are getting it today, but I decided just to get it online, I’m sick of looking for it without a pre-order.

It will be interesting to see how well the voice pickup will be on the mic. I am often in a room with my family playing and the wired mic isn’t bad when it comes to picking up ambient noise in the room.

Supposedly it has better noise cancellation as well as audio quality for both the listener and speaker. I’m tempted to go pick one up today…I was going to wait until Christmas but that seems so far away

I have the vision camera, and I’ll probably end up picking up the headset today, I think I have some credit at EB Games anyway.

I’ve heard the sound quality is incredible, especially when both people have the wireless headset.

I just don’t want to hear myself speak 1 second after I say something. I hate echo in headsets. The one I have does it sometimes.

Mason there will not be any issue with it being wireless and their being any sort of lag. In fact it will be better quality than i’s wired counterpart.
The echo you are referring to is actually unique to the wired headset, it occurs when the plug gets dirty. If this occurs get everyone to remove and wipe off their headset jack and the issue should go away.

Not high on my list of 360 priorities. Right now I’d settle for a fix for the loop issue.
Two bad updates in a row now. First the servers are down for two days now a console update that broke a lot of systems (more than just 1% as stated). Now today there is a “scheduled” downtime of Live that nobody knew about including Larry? I’m calling shananigans!
