Have you heard of this program? You probably have an Xbox Ambassador on your friend’s list and didn’t even know it. They’re out there…in full force waiting to help new Xbox Live members and existing members alike have a better experience with Xbox Live. How do I know? Well, because I’m one of them. I’m an Xbox Ambassador along with hundreds of gamers that you probably didn’t know.

I mentioned the program in Episode #18 as well as other episodes but I thought I’d reintroduce everyone to the program by writing this piece. Everyone’s favorite Zuma player, TriXie, started the program several months ago with the first free weekend for Xbox Live Gold. It was started to give new users a friendly voice and a good introduction to the service.
What is an Xbox Ambassador?
Xbox Ambassadors are community members who have been around the block and are willing to show the new guys around. An Xbox Ambassador puts ’having a good experience with Xbox Live’ at the top of their ‘to-do’ list and they share/introduce those experiences to other members of Xbox Live.
Where can I find out more?
First and foremost, you can head over to Xbox.com and read up on the program as well as find local Xbox Ambassadors in your state. TriXie has compiled a list of Ambassadors by state/country, language and Gamerzone. There are also community members like FatSteveIrwin and Psychonaut who are working to create a central place for more Xbox Ambassador information with www.xboxambassadors.com. They’re set to launch the website very soon.
How do I identify them?
![]()
Most of the Xbox Ambassadors will have ‘Xbox Ambassador’ listed as their motto on their Gamercard. If you frequent the Xbox.com message boards often, then you’ve likely seen users with a wreath icon (shown above) on their Gamercard. It identifies an Xbox Ambassador posting on the message boards. If you’re new to Xbox Live or just looking for a fun time, send them a friend invite.
I’ve seen a few and they weren’t nice. What do I do?
Get their Gamertag and let me know or email TriXie. Keep in mind her plate is full with a lot of good stuff being planned for Xbox Ambassadors, GamerchiX and plenty of other things so don’t kill her if she doesn’t respond fast enough. So if you see them, let me know or her. It’ll be taken care of.
How do I submit to be an Xbox Ambassador?
When the program opens for new membership, details will be posted on Xbox.com. I’ll also try to get word out when I hear something.
I just wanted to reintroduce the program to those of you who may not have known. The point of the Xbox Ambassadors program is to provide direct contacts to those that need help or just generally want a good time when playing Xbox Live. If you don’t have many friends on your list, then head over to the list of Xbox Ambassadors and find a good friend. When you message them or send them an invite, let them know you came across their Gamertags on the Xbox.com Ambassador list.
Have you met an Xbox Ambassador on Xbox Live? Let me know if you have and tell me about the experience they were able to create with you.

[...] Why the sudden interest in Xbox Ambassadors, you ask? That’s because my good friend Daylon, a.k.a. DeaconBlade 360, from Unscripted 360 is - and has been - an Xbox Ambassador and recently posted loads of information on the program as a way to inform more gamers of it. Want to know even more about the Xbox Ambassador program? Follow the link below. Daylon’s one of the more laid back and intelligent people i’ve met so far when it comes to games, so to see him as an Ambassador? That lets me know that the program is already off to a good start! I’m an Xbox Ambassador and over the last few weeks I have recieved loads of new friend requests, from people who are new to xbox live. I’ve answered questions and helped people settle in and apart from it being fun, i’ve made some good friends who are now pretty damn good at kicking my ass on Gears Of War. It’s great!
