Sorry about the late showing of #18 but hey the Cowboys were playing. I’ll try and get the next one up earlier for you early sleepers out there. One thing to note from the show is the Community Guests. I’ll be picking people straight from the Xbox 360 community to be guests on the show from time to time. These aren’t just any guests but rather those I feel are doing something positive in the Xbox 360 community. That may be with blogs, websites or just posting. I figured to give something to those who are truly helpful in the community and allow them a chance to speak to the listeners of Unscripted 360…share their story. Thanks to Brutal Roth for the reminder on this.
Enjoy the show!

[...] The event started on Thursday late in the afternoon when other fellow Xbox 360 community members arrived at the Sutton Hotel in downtown Vancouver. There were members representing a variety of Xbox and Xbox 360 websites like Xbox Solution, Xbox365, The Gaming Truth, and Xbox Users Group among others. I won’t detail the stuff outside of the game so be sure to listen to Episode #18 for more on the event if you want more than just my opinions about FIFA 07. [...]

The Gears of War event was pretty cool. I got a few pictures of the stuff I got on my Flickr page (search my name). They played the 15 min or so video on the kiosk.
October 24th, 2006 at 10:05 am
no prob. I heard that they gave away some shwag. I will talk to some of my friends ( I wasn’t able to make it).
I like the idea of getting people together for a game.Talking and exchanging their gamertags is what it is all about. I hope the industry sees that getting gamers together like that will allow it to be a tighter knit community. Doing that only makes it better.

Wow Deacon, thanks for the part about my thread and the site, yeah it did get crazy. The site seems fine today though, most of those Sony fanboy kids are most likely in school, plus the article on Digg is finally off the front page, so it can recover finally. It wasn’t the bandwidth or anything, but it was something choking the number of connections, whether it be the kiss-of-death that is being popular on Digg, or Sony fanboys that were threatening to attack it, or both, I don’t know.
Doesn’t matter anymore though, the article made its rounds all over the place, and people were taking it and putting it on their own site to help out and get the word out, it was great.
Here’s the thread:

Also, if you want to do something for the show, I’ll do it.

Awesome show, you once again helped me get through a day at work without going nuts from boredom. Also I’m defiantly looking forward to hearing some of the opinions of the community members you will be getting on.
Also thanks for that massive shoutout.

Another fine piece of Podcast goodness. Nice one Deacon
UNSCleric: I wish I could of went to the Gears showing at EB but nothing was happening in my area.. Did you get any of the free shwag? I heard they gave out some Cog tags and Gamerpic and Theme vouchers.. Really wish I could of got my hands on some of that. Gears is a no-brainer for me so I don’t need any more selling on it.
