Day 3 - FIFA 07 Community Day
I know you’re asking…what happened to Day 2? Well, it’s Canada and sometimes you lose days…I think. At any rate, it’s a little before 8AM and we’re getting ready to get some hands on with FIFA 07 throughout the day. This is the meat and potatoes of the event. I have all the questions you guys posted and emailed so I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to get them all answered.
We all had a blast last night eating at Earl’s Restaurant talking games and watching the Mets vs Cardinals with a few of the people from the FIFA 07 team, including Clive Owen. After dinner Deejay Knight, from GamingTruth, Coola, from Xbox365, and I had a really fun time laughing and joking until a little past midnight in my room. Those are two of the rare good guys you’ll ever meet. Just don’t ask what the Pillow Group is.
Well I’m headed off now to EA Canada. I’ll post more if I can before I wrap up and head back home. One note, expect the long anticipated Star Trek: Legacy interview when I get back. (okay Intangible 360)

Truth must hurt huh Sirharper?
The only reason my site was attacked today is because what I was saying was the truth. You can’t silence it.

Was it a DOS attack? Are you the only person at yahoo experiencing difficulty?

Yes it most likely was. My site’s article was on every anti-MS site I looked at. It was a blatant attack, it’s back up now.

MS accidentally released Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 tonight, I was able to download the full game before they realized their error. Unfortunately it automatically signs you out of Xbox LIVE everytime you try to log in. Anyone else get a hold of it?

Actually dude I’m kinda bummed out about it. I very much wanted to go over and make a post at fanboy central. NOTHING about their claims is wrong at all. It’s the same stuff I said a long time ago. When you add up the parts and services 360 DOES cost more. Should be pretty much obvious to everybody the figures are right there in black and white.
Any lawsuit that would be filed (and there won’t be one) is going to be laughed out of court.

That isn’t what is in dispute, if you follow this link you will get some good examples.

I saw it. It all hinges on how the reader want to perceive the words “requires users to buy”.
If your goal is to make a 360 as comparible to PS3 features as possible then you would be required to buy everything. Nowhere is some claim in any of that where you cannot use a 360 without it.
So you can see what the end result is. The 360 fanboy crowd is going to try to spin it as Sony is telling some grand lie, whereas in reality they are merely starting what is required to make a 360 as PS3-like as possible.
Courts will of course see it my way. But rest assured no suit will ever be filed or if it is it will be a publicity stunt. Much like the one Lucent almost tried to pull on 360 at launch. In that case at least the claim was legit, the 360 did in fact contain pirated technologies.

You can hardly deny how easily misunderstood that table could be. I don’t know if a suit will ever be filed but it looks like the PR folks over at the gamerscoreblog have a sense of humour.

When does Deacon get home?

It’s like anything else. People we see what they want. This certainly isn’t unique to gaming consoles.
