Vancouver Report - FIFA Community Day
Well I’ve touched down in Vancouver. It’s midnight. I’m tired but up giving you guys a ‘tag along’ I suppose. I have some photos up of where I am…I almost forgot how EA takes such good care of you when you’re visiting them on one of these events. I arrived earlier than the rest of the crew to tend to some business but what I hear is that fellow Xbox MVP, Coola, will be headed up tomorrow. I’m looking forward to meeting up with him.
Each time I’ve visited with EA here, I’ve seen some celebs. And this time is no different. Pam Grier and that one guy from Freddy vs Jason so far. I just ordered a $20 burger/fries combo. Don’t even get me started…I can’t even believe it but I’m hungry and well let’s just say I’m taking the plate with me.
I have my wireless connection going with my Alienware but the connection is so ‘off and on’ it’s crazy. It looks like the Xbox.com message boards are back up (you can all breathe again lol)
Hope everything is going okay in U360 land. I’ll have more during my stay here. No cameras or laptops are being allowed when we get to the studio so I don’t know how much of the actual event I’ll be able to grab.

Cold in Vancouver…whimp! I suppose you are used to your Texan climate though, still though BC tends to be pretty warm.

Those prices are pretty typical for room service Deac, don’t forget those are also started in Canadian Dollars.
$16.71 American right now for $19 Canadian!?!?!?
What the heck happened to our economy?
When I was in the CFL ten years ago the conversion rate was much more favorable. Gotta miss those Clinton years but this is not a political forum.
Great picts also man!

Ah, that’s right! I remember now that you won that Alienware laptop for playing “Burnout Revenge”. Well, have fun at the event and bring back some juicy info.

LOL, I’m starting to think Deacon doesn’t have to pay for anything.

Your right SirHarper, Deacon has all the hookups! Everyone is not able to jump on a plane and fly to Canada and pay $20.00 for a burger
Must be nice. Well Deac, its starting to get cold here in Dallas though. This morning was about 50 degreez (with the windchill) but I’m sure that’s nothing compared to where you are. Enjoy your trip and bring back some
goodies!!
October 19th, 2006 at 12:28 pm
LOL @ “windchill” at 50.
October 19th, 2006 at 6:59 pm

You better mean me and it better be what I think it is!!!

I think I know what it COULD be.

I imagine it’s either something he took home from the FIFA thingamajig or the Star Trek: Legacy interview.
October 20th, 2006 at 10:24 am
If it is what I think it’s even greater than that.
But also…he could have picked something up for his IRL buddy GameSkillz. So maybe we are overthinking it.

Look at the bottom of the new post, I’m pretty sure it was the Legacy interview…I hope by “when I get back” he means when I get back from the even to his hotel and not all of the way back to Texas.

If Deacon brings anything back he needs to hook me up with a PS3

With all due respect, I wouldn’t think that was all that big of a deal.

Do you happen to go by the name Homer?
If not then to me that means when he gets back home.

I admit it’s more than likely a typo, however my old gamertag was Homer 918 and if you only knew how much I’ve been pestering him about this interview
October 20th, 2006 at 1:52 pm
I’d say based on that evidence it prolly is what you think.
